Intro

Third Person POV (This is the past about 8 years ago)

There they sat. 3 friends on little Colton Jones' couch. Colton, Elliot Whimsberry, and Sam Flannery. The best of friends. All bundled up to watch a kid's show on TV. It was about a beach where obviously all the girls were in bikinis and all the boys were shirtless. (This is a made up show. No copyright intended) "Col-Col" (Colton) was struck when he saw a member of a guest starring band shirtless. His name was "Rick Flame" and tiny Colton had always had dreams of them together. Snuggling, holding hands, and sometimes kissing.

While Sam and Elliot were watching the girls. They cooed out "She's Pretty." While Colton was cooing at how cute the boy was "He's CUTE."

The two other boys looked at him with shock. "EW A FAGGOT! RUN AWAY! HES GONNA GIVE US FAG GERMS!" And the two ran out of the house leaving Col-Col alone.

He cried for a long time after that. It was summer so he didn't have to see his "friends" at school. Then one hot July his parents told him some big news.

"We're moving!" His parents call out to their only child. Col-Col was really happy to move but he was kinda sad that he would leave his best frien-. Oh wait. What best friends? They left him 3 weeks ago and never talked to him since then.

"Let's go!" Colton lunged to pack his things.

Author's note

Just to be clear: Colton is supposed to look like Colton from Midnight Red. Sorry! And his other friends are made up. And the show and the band are made up too.

Ps. This is just a short intermission.

They moved to New Brunswick, Canada for about 8 years. He comes back to his hometown when he's 17. He still hates his friends for leaving him when he was 9.

First day of school and it was like he never left. He felt... At home again. His old "Friends" walk up to him.

"Mate! Long time no see eh? And I was thinki-" Colton pushed Sam to the side and went straight for Emmet. The two have talked to each other a lot while Colton was away.

"EEEE. OMG I HAVENT SEEN YOU IN LIKE FOREVER!" They squealed like little girls.

Sam and Elliot watch them as their "Best Friend Forever Amen" was hanging out with someone else. "Have we done something wrong? You never answered my direct messages on twitter, Instagram, and you never like my #ThrowBackThursdays of me, you and Sammy."

"Yeah! And all your throwbacks are you and Emmet! We had good times too!" They call out to Colton who was listening and pretending to talk to Emmet.

Colton looked back at them in disgust and walked away with Emmet.

Then it hit Elliot. The last time they saw Colton. They ran away from him when he called that Rick guy cute... 'I MADE FUN OF HIM BECAUSE HES GAY!' He finally understands why he hates them.

"Sammy! Remember when we last saw Col-Col? We made fun of him for liking that Rick guy on TV! That's why he's mad at us! We abandoned him!"

"Let's say sorry then." Sam replied.

The run up to Colton.

"Hey *Pants Loudly* Col-Co-"

"Don't call me that." Colton turned on his heel to look at him directly. Smirking.

"But... I thought we were best friends. The three of us..."

"Put more emphasis on the words 'Were Best Friends'."

"But now we know why you're mad!"

"Just... Stay away from me. Okay? I know we were best friends when we were little... But.... Now things are... Different. I'm sorry.

Tears about to come out of Elliot's eyes. "I-I-I'm sorr- sorry we made fun of you fo-for be-being ga-ga-gay."

Colton turns around confused.

"You think I'm gay?"

"Well yeah. You called that Rick guy cute. Then that whole 'Running away and never talking to you before you moved'"

"Yeah, that's where Emmet took your place. While you guys left me.... BUT IM NOT GAY!!"

"Guys don't usually call other guys cute unless they are"

"That was 8 years ago! It was a phase!!" Colton protests.

He never expected his first day back to be like this.
