Struggling to pull my leg free of the ice, I try to grab ahold of Billie's collar, hoping she'll pull me back up. Barking loudly in my face as she starts trying to break free of my grasp, I feel my ankle pop sickeningly and I scream. I let go of her and dropping down to the ice, I look behind me to see that the creature is controlling it, making itself a pathway straight to me. I can't help but to look at it. Tall, slender, shoulder length black hair, blue skin, and those fiery red eyes piercing into me, like a man but I knew it had to be something worse. As it gets closer I can see that it's dressed in what looks like a green, scaled bodysuit.
"Stay back," I shout at it, pulling out my hunting knife. "I'm warning you, if you hurt me you'll regret it." Suddenly it stopped where it was on its ice path and sneered deviously at me. Billie jumped off the dock and took a protective stance in front of me on the ice, growling and barking at the creature. I start stabbing the ice with my knife around my ankle trying to get it free. "Billie, get back," I don't want this... this thing to hurt her. It scowled at her and continued towards us. I keep driving the knife in harder and harder, staring at my foot stuck in the ice at an odd angle in frustration. The creature's pace quickened towards Billie.
"Get away from her!" I tried to stand and felt another wave of pain hit me, but I pushed myself upward and grabbed my rifle from the dock. Landing back on my butt, I turned towards the creature and clicked off the safety. "I'm not gonna say it again." It stopped and looked up at me, glaring. "Oh, now you understand me. Get away from my dog. Get away from us. Don't you dare come any closer." And with that it advanced towards us again. Billie shot after him like a rocket and he waved his in the air and she was just floating there. My jaw dropped. The shock passed through me quickly, though as I aimed at it's left shoulder and fired. "Fuck." The bullet seemed to glance right off him. I chambered another and fired again this time aiming for the knee. It's step faltered slightly and it waved it's arm again tossing Billie into the water.
"Asshole," I screamed at him, "Just leave." I just kept chambering and firing until it was right in front of me aiming my last bullet at it's head. It caught it and jerked the rifle from my hands. I grabbed my knife and swiped at it's leg, not even cutting through it's boot realizing that bodysuit was some kind of armor. It waved it's hand and my knife flew off into the water too. Then Billie hopped out onto the ice and started running towards it from behind. It didn't even turn to look just held it's hand up and flung Billie back into the yard close to the back deck. She landed hard with a Yelp and I screamed angrily and grabbed it's legs trying to pull it down to me so I could attack it.
It reached down and grabbed my wrists, cold emanating from it's hands, face just inches from mine. And I stopped struggling, it's eyes boring into mine. I started feeling calmer and drowsy. Shaking my head, I spit in its face, "Get your filthy hands off me." It huffed and and smiled at me, revealing an almost too perfect white smile, then licked the side of my face, then touched the ice by my foot, melting it. Sneering, it jerked me up by my wrists and pushed me against the dock. Still holding me, it's body only inches from mine, it began looking me over.
I could feel it's eyes everywhere they landed, from my own to my chest, then back to my lips as a small whimper escaped them. It pressed it's cold body against mine then buried it's cold face into the right side of my neck, inhaling deeply. I struggled against it trying to use my body to push it away from me but this creature was pressed so tightly against me. "What do you want? Why are you here?", I yelled right into it's ear. I felt cold lips brushing against my neck where it laid a kiss there, then snake out it's tongue and lick me again. I closed my eyes tight and kept pushing against it. "Get off me! Get off me now, damn it!" It pulled it's head back and looked into my eyes and I could feel another wave of calm hit me again. The creature began to lean it's head down towards my face and all I could think was 'Oh God, it's going to suck all the heat from my body' and I head butted it. Pain seared across my forehead and it growled down at me and flung me into the yard too.
I landed hard on my upper back, my head hitting the ground. I look over to my left at Billie, watching her breathe. 'Bastard. She better be ok,' I thought as I heard it's footsteps approaching me. It crouched down and grabbed me by my jaw with it's cold icy hand. I felt like all the warmth was just draining from my body as it's skin began to turn from blue to that of a man, so pale white in contrast to my sable brown. I could feel my mind getting foggy but also like something was digging in my head. I swung my arms wildly trying to get it off of me. My eyes closed and Josh's face flashed before my eyes. I forced them back open, feeling weaker and finally smacking the creature in its face. It pushed my head down to the ground, it's eyes slowly changing to an icy blue green as I felt myself slipping further away. "No," I tried to shout but it came out as more of a whisper.
It looked down at me and sneered, "Yes, midgardian." And I felt another wave of drowsiness hit me and my strength left me. As my arms hit the ground, I felt it's arms slither under my body picking me up. Not long after I felt my body falling down onto something soft.
