Jack's pov
Me and Zack was on our way to the canteen to get our dinner. Once we got our dinner we was walking to our table. But on the way we had to walk past Alex's table and his friend who is called Rian put his leg out and tripped me up. My dinner went all over me and everyone started laughing at me. Zack put his hand out for me to take to help me up. As I helped myself up I took the chance to glance at Alex and I swear I could see a hint of guilt but it went as soon as it came.
"Come on, I'll take you to my house so you can get changed." Zack said and led me out of the canteen.
"Gay."
"Faggot."
"Fairy."
"Are you going to shag him?"
"Don't listen to them." Zack whispered.
"I'm trying Zack I really am but it's getting harder with every word they say to me." I mumbled.
"Please stay strong, for me." Zack said.
"I'll try." I said.
"Thank you." Zack said. We walked the rest of the way to Zack's house in silence.
"Honey I'm home!" Zack called through the quiet house. A petite woman with brown hair came out of the kitchen. I assume it's Zack's mom.
"Zack? What are you doing home this early and who is this?" She asked Zack.
"This is my friend Jack. Someone tripped him up at dinner and his food went all over him. So I brought him here so he could borrow some of my clothes for the rest of the day." Zack explained to his mom.
"Oh that's not very nice. Go and get some clean clothes on love and it's nice to meet you. Just so you know you're welcome to come over anytime." Zack's mom said.
"Thanks Mrs Merrick." I said and nodded to her.
"Please call me Mary." Mary said. I nodded.
"Thanks Mary." I said.
"Come on then." Said Zack and led me to his room.
"I think we're about the same size so you can pick anything you want." Zack said.
"Okay." I said and looked through his closet. I settled on a pair of black skinny jeans and a black v neck.
"You really hot. If I do say so myself." Zack said and winked. I blushed.
"Thanks." I mumbled. I wasn't used at being complemented.
"Now let's go and show Alex what he's missing out on by being a total prick to you." Zack said and held his hand out for me to take and I took it. We walked downstairs.
"You look so much better Jack." Mary said.
"Thanks." I said.
"You two better get yourself back to school." Mary said. Me and Zack nodded.
"Bye mom." Said Zack and kissed his mom's cheek. "Bye Zack." Said Mary.
"Bye Jack." Said Mary.
"Bye Mary." I said and me and Zack walked out of the house and to school. We was walking through the empty halls and then Alex came running around the corner, he stopped in his tracks when he saw me.
"Jack!" He called after me and ran towards me. "Where have you been?" He asked me out of breath.
"Oh I had to go to Zack's house to get a change of clothes because your friend decided to trip me up and made me spill my dinner all over myself." I explained.
