It's my birthday today! I'm turning 19, and there is a huge birthday party taking place today. This will be the best day yet, because I am finally able to get my permit and anything else the average teenager gets on their birthday, except for one gift that I've gotten from someone I've never met before in my life. I invited all my friends from school and some close family to come to my party at my friend sarah's house. Everyone was coming, and I was excited. When I got my gifts, they were almost what I wanted: new shoes, clothes, perfumes, makeup..etc. Until I received a gift with no tag and no name. I went around the house and asked everyone, "Is this yours? Do you know whose it is? Who gave it to me? Did they forget to write their name down on the tag?" but I opened it anyway, and they turned out to be binoculars. Now, what do I need binoculars for? When I go to the zoo or something? I wasn't even sure if this was given to me or if this is a prank. Honestly, they looked pretty cool, and I looked through them and saw a world of hell. Fire, demons, trolls, dead corpses, skeletons, and the almighty Lucifer himself. I quickly dropped the binoculars and ran outside yelling, "Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god!!! He's real, he's real, he's real!!"

"Woah, woah, woah. Calm down, Angel. Who's real?"

"The Devil!!"

"The..Devil? Are you joking?"

"No! I'm serious! I saw him myself just right now!!"

"Are you messing with me right now, Angel, because you know how I am with that kind of stuff, right? Because if you are, I will not speak to you, and I don't care it it's your birthday today."

"No!! I'm serious!!! I saw him through some binoculars that I got from someone!"

"Who gave them to you?"

"I don't know!! There was no name on it."

"Now that's just screwed up. Who does that?"

"I don't know... probably some jerk. But I didn't invite anyone that I don't know or like. And I'm sure you didn't either... Did you?"

"No... Why would I do that...?"

"Just asking."

"Do you want to find out who gave it to you?"

"Yes. yes, I would."

"Then let's go."

Sarah and I left the party to go and find the stranger who sent the gift to Angel.

"Here, let me see them really quick."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes. Im sure."

"Ok..." I hesitated, giving them to sarah. She grabbed the binoculars and looked through them. No reaction. She had a look of irritation in her face. "Really, Angel?" Sarah said irritably.

"What? Did you see it, too?"

There was a pause. "No. there's nothing to see through these things. They're just ordinary binoculars. So you were messing with me, weren't you?"

"No!! I swear! Cross my heart and hope to die that I'm not messing with you! And if you think that i'm crazy, then so be it! I guess i'm the only one who can see Lucifer!"

Sarah turned around and began to walk back to the party.

"This is so stupid! And on the many days that we argue, it just had to be on your birthday, and now, coincidentally, there is a demon-cursed set of binoculars that you get on your birthday. And now that I think about it..." sarah paused to think about the situation carefully, then spoke again. "You know what?... maybe this is a message for you to understand that you can't get everything you want with just looks."
