(Angel's p.o.v)
As I peeped around the corner, I saw Raziel walking back towards me, blood splattered on his dark clothes and his face, and with something in his hand...Lucifer's head. His yellow eyes wide and now dry from no water to keep them moist. His facial expression was grotesque. His forehead had a huge gaping hole where black blood dripped down into his mouth and out again, dripping onto the floor. Raziel's face had an expression I couldn't quite read. It looked like a mixture of worry and concern. His red eyes changed to a midnight black again. "Are you ok, Raziel?"
"Yeah...I'm fine. Are you ok? I mean you saw what happened back there. You aren't scared of me...are you?"
"What? No! Why would I be scared of someone who fought to protect the one they love and face their own fear? What made you think I was scared?"
"The look in your eyes. They tell me something different. Please Angel, don't lie. Just tell me you're scared and I'll let you be. Please. I don't want you to fear me like you did Lucifer. And if you do... then I'm just like him-"
I slapped Raziel for saying something so terrible. Tears were coming down my face. Raziel turned his head back towards me and looked surprised, his hand on his face where he had been hit.
I spoke again, my voice shuddering from my crying.
"Don't ever... compare yourself to him! Please! You are nothing like him... if you were anything like him... I wouldn't feel the way I do towards you now. So please, please don't say that... I'm begging you." His eyes were wide, then lowered, looking at the ground beneath him. He walked towards me and hugged me as I was still crying.
"I'm sorry. Please don't cry, Angel. Everything will be ok. I promise. I swear, I'll never say that to you ever again, Ok? Look at me, Please?" I looked at him, his eyes still black, now gentle and soft.
He pulled me closer to him, kissed my head and hugged me tighter. I hugged back, knowing that we will be ok. "You better now?"
"Yeah, I'm fine. Sorry for slapping you." he chuckled.
"It's ok. Sometimes people need to get slapped to wake up, and you woke me up from the nightmare I had. Thank you for that."
Raziel then lowered his head with mine and looked at me, with his now green eyes. "Your eyes aren't black or red anymore! Now they're green! Is that good?"
"I-I don't know... they've never turned green before. Maybe it's a sign of how I feel for you. They usually turn red or black. But green? That's never happened to me before."
"They suit you. You don't look as mad either."
"Really? You think that they suit me better?"
"Yeah. why not? It's... different. And sometimes different is good"
"I guess, yeah you're right. And what should I do with this... thing?" he held up Lucifer's head again, letting it dangle in the air. "I don't know... throw it in a pit of fire or something maybe?"
"I can't. I have to show it to Deumos and Zepar. They're both superior to me so I just can't hold it up high in the air and declare myself the new ruler of hell just like that, I have to show them."
"Oh...sorry. I-I didn't know that was how it was supposed to be done. Sorry, Raziel."
"Oh, no it's ok. You don't have to apologize. I mean, if that's how things were down here I would do it but I still need permission...sort of."
"Where do you think they are? Back in their quarters or something?"
"Perhaps. But I don't want to rush. I just want to think about it for a little while. Come on, let's go back. You must be tired."
