He dodged the bullet aimed at his head with ease. The splinter of stone could be heard, as it hit the wall right behind him. He was calm in the middle of the fighting going on around him, he stepped forward, walking further into the alleyway.

Almost as if in slowmotion, he reached out running at his enemies. One, two, three down. The fourth turned heel and ran away. His comrades were writhing at the ground, bleeding, but not dead. Nobody seemed like they would like to fight on.

The redhead then turned towards you, lowering his fists, a deep sigh could be heard from him. While your brain processed what just happened you stared at him in awe, speechless before your savior.

...Just minutes ago...

It was a hard day at work – again – and you were glad you'd have the next day off. Working at the youth welfare office sure got more difficult over the previous years. The most recent case you cared for was about a bunch of children, whose parents were killed the port mafia.

In these times in particular it wasn't that easy to find adults that wanted to take care of them. Because a normal human would not stand a chance against the mafia all of them were scared caring for those who got involved with them. Even, if the victims were innocent children, that did do nothing regarding the port mafias activities.

The day was about to end, the sun setting in a beautiful red and a warm breeze blew your hair into your face. As you removed the strands with a sigh, passing by a dark alley, hands grabbed your arm and dragged you into it. Surprised you stumbled into the shadow, out of the sight of the main street and the passersby. A cry for help slipped out between your lips, but was soon silence by the cold steel, that was now pressed against your throat.

A wave of panic rushed through your body, made your knees week and let your hands tremble. Were you going to die now? What did they want from you? You never looked rich, just as well dressed as you had to be for your job and you never thought about yourself you were that pretty. After all you were in your thirties and sure, that you looked tired out. It really was a long day, and now this was happening to you, why?

Only your eyes moving you searched for a way out of this situation, that nervous, that you almost missed what your kidnappers were talking about. Seemed they had something more in mind than to just rob you. You tried to struggle, but the grip around upper body was too firm and the guy behind you, remembered you in an unpleasant way of the knife on your throat. As you felt the cold steel cutting into your skin, your warm blood oozing out from the wound, you started to cry.

Now you were sure, how you would die.

"Aww shes's crying."

They laughed about you, dragging you deeper into the dark street. If you tried calling for help, they might just would kill you in an instant and you weren't sure if that was something you wanted. Even if you wouldn't be out of mind by fear, your body didn't seem to be able to any other action, than crying and trembling. Your heart beat so fast, that it hurt you, the adrenalin in your veins created a white noise that blinded out all other noises left. You hoped, that this was a dream. A bad dream, that would end before you were killed and you would wake at home, glad about being alive. The blood that soaked your blouse and the stinging pain reminded you, that this was way too real to be a dream.

One moment later a new voice pierced through to your ears, kind of filling you with hope. It wasn't the call of one of your tormentors, it was clear, confident and sounded slightly displeased.

The next thing you knew was you on the ground and the redhead fighting with your kidnappers.

... back to the present...

While you continued to stare he approached you, lend you a hand, helped you up, smiled at you, while you still wondered how he did that. Then it struck you like lightning.

"Are...are you an ability user?", you asked, still not fully in control of your voice.

"Yes I am.", he replied calm.
"But shouldn't you thank me first?"

"Th..thank you.", you stuttered, cheeks flushed with crimson red.

That was kind of awkward... after what he did for you. And additional he was a good looking guy, a good bit taller than yourself, well trained, although you couldn't see that much of his body, but his movements told you just that.

"What kind of ability was that, it was kind of..."

You searched for the right word, while trying to calm down, ignoring the blood on the ground and its smell in the air.

"Flawless?", he suggested with a smirk.

"Yes!"

That was exactly the word you couldn't think of and your face lit up with a bright smile. The mysterious stranger, slightly surprised of that smile, kind ofenjoyed that you were now happy, not in fear anymore.

"My Ability is exactly that. Flawless."

"Oh.", was your only reply to that explanation

While you were deep in thought he turned around and walked away.

"W...wait!", you cried, fearing he would vanish as fast as he appeared.

"Whats your name? I'm[y/n]."

He looked back at you, still acting like nothing great happened.

"Oda, Sakunosuke Oda.", he introduced himself.

"You should hurry up and get out of here. Your family might be worried by now."

And with this words he vanished. He left you on the street with a heart that beat as fast as it could be, but fear wasn't the reason this time.

You safely got home, repeating his name in your head like it was a treasure you didn't want to lose. Maybe you could pay him back for this some time.

When you discovered, that he was part of the port mafia your heart kind of broke...no, maybe it didn't break in two. It just cracked.

And It cracked the second time, as he stood before you in your office – a week later – and he expressed the wish to adopt the homeless children.
But this time, it wasn't a bad kind of pain. Although you still had a bad feeling, you couldn't forget his kindness towards you and when you witnessed how loving and caring he was, your heart melted in an instant.

Who would have thought, that you would fall for a stranger that easily?
