The brown SUV pulls up to a yellow house and with light blue, green outline trimming. A few cars are already parked on the side of the street and a couple in front of the home. Selena starts looking around the street for a parking spot close to the large home. She spots one next to a big tree two more houses down. Kendal puts her tablet away and into her bag. Randy keeps his head phones on, but gets himself ready too unbuckle his seat belt and get out of the vehicle. Ralph starts to pick up a lot of the different stuff around his feet. Selena takes a few minutes to maneuver the SUV into the parking spot, but she's finally able to wedge it up into a spot between a small compact car and the tree. Everyone gets out of the vehicle and heads towards the back of the SUV. Kendal pops the trunk open first. She goes and grabs a black bag which is a bit heavy for her, but she uses all her strength to lift it up. Randy comes around and grabs the black bag from her. "I've got it mosquito midget."
"Hey, doofis! I had that." She goes to get it back, but Randy just pulls it away. Ralph comes around the side where Randy is and just looks at them both.
"Alright, break it up." Ralph just smirks at Randy with a giggle. He looks down at Kendal. "Kendal let Randy carry that. You've already got your bag. Here!" Ralph reaches into the back and pulls out a black fold up chair. "Carry this, scout." Kendal takes it without any qualms. Randy just shakes his head irritably. Kendal sticks her tongue out at him. Selena who's in the front comes to the back of the vehicle and pulls a few more chairs out from behind the SUV. Ralph leans in and grabs a small box containing plastic dishware and other materials which will be used for today's meeting. Selena shuts the trunk and the family heads towards the yellow house.
The lawn is very green with a small flower bed in front of a few of the windows on the bottom floor of the building. The house looks freshly painted and it's bright imaginary stands out around the neighborhood. The small porch has a wooden swing and a few chairs on it. Many potted plants cover the banisters of the rails. Each one is painted blue with a bit of teal for the outline. There are a few small windows on the bottom floor and a giant big window on the side of the building. A small white fence goes around the property. A small brick walk way leads from the street to the front porch with little shrubs on the side of them.
Kendal's family walks up to the front door. Randy makes it there first. He goes to ring the front door, but Kendal runs ahead of him cutting him off and rings it before his hand can touch the bell. He goes to swipe at her, but she dodges him and goes back behind her mother who has just come up the porch steps. Randy turns around and sees his mother and father just shaking their head at him. He rolls his eyes and looks down at Kendal who sticks her tongue out. He's about to say something when the door swings open.
A fourteen year old girl opens it. She's got chestnut straight hair and ocean blue eyes. She smiles at the Martinez family. She's wearing khaki shorts and a bright white collared shirt with two different pockets on the side. She's got a greens sash wrapped around her chest with many different types of badges she's collected over the years. She's also wearing a green scarf which is neatly tied into a knot. Her light hair is down to where her scarf is and her front bangs are trimmed nice and neatly. She looks down at Kendal. She gets a big smile. She kneels down and opens her arms wide, "Hey, love bug!"
Kendal drops the chair in her hands and rushes over to the young girl, "Hey AJ!" Kendal wraps her arms around AJ's body and squeezes her tight. AJ embraces her back with a deep squeeze. "It's so good to see you."
Kendal lets go of AJ and looks deeply into her eyes. "How are you, AJ?"
AJ just smiles, "I'm good love bug. Are you ready for today?"
