|Your POV| Mettaton was your idol. He has amazing talent, a gorgeous voice, and you have to admit, you have a crush on that over-developed calculator. Though, you never got to meet him. That is, until you were lucky caller, number 258068175391! As a prize, you were able to bring yourself and a friend to one of his concerts. But wait, there's more! The tickets were VIP, so you were able to see him backstage. Apparently, most of your human friends were "busy", but you know that they just don't like monsters in general. So you invited one of your monster friends, Lilly. You've known her for only a few months now, but she's your closest friend. She's the only one that is fine with you being a human. Lilly is the daughter one of the formal Royal Scientists, but her dad got fired. (Before you ask, no, it's not W.D Gaster) Well...Anyways, you guys went to the concert together. And that's were sh*t went down. You see, while you were backstage in the meet-and-greet, you had to go to the restroom, so you went out of line. Flashback... You had told Lilly to save your spot, but when you came back, all you felt were two hands push you down. You fell onto the ground and stared up. Monsters, including Lilly, were glaring and "sharing" rude comments to you. You were scared... it was you against practically everyone in the line. Meanwhile... |Mettaton's POV| "Hello darling, what would you like? A photo? Autograph?" Then the girl spoke in a very high pitched voice. "Mettaton, can I get a kiss?" She stared at me with puppy dog eyes, while pointing at her puckered lips. I was taken aback. I scoffed lightly and grabbed one of the pre-signed pictures on the table. I gently kissed the picture and placed it on the table. "That's the closest you'll get darling." I said with a raised eyebrow. She pouted, then leaned closer. She unbuttoned the top of her shirt. "Are you sure you don't want a kiss?~ Maybe more?~" I looked at her with a 'seriously?' face. "You know that's against the rules darling~" I mimicked her tone and pointed to the security guards. She scoffed and walked away, seeming very pissed off. "Next in line please!" I called while signing more photos. I waited for a few seconds and no one came forward. I looked up from my photo and saw a large gap in the front of the line, along with a human on the ground. They looked petrified, and the monsters in line shouting very rude and inappropriate words. I got up and walked over to them. "Hey!" Everyone got silent, and the monsters backed up. I offered a hand to the human and helped them up. I gave them a warm smile and turned to the line. "All of you, you should know better than to treat someone like this! No matter if they are monster or not, they are still a living being! And you shall not call them out! I want all of those who were rude, to please leave. And remember, I know who you are." Flashback Over... After that whole incident, Mettaton wanted to make it up to you, so he gave you his private phone number. And over time, you and Mettaton had hung out, a lot. And with time, comes a relationship. You were dating, and celebrating your 2nd anniversary. You each were planning on surprising each other. Mettaton had come home from his studio business, and you were waiting for him on the couch. Our heard the door start unlocking, and your excitement was building up. Mettaton came in and you practically pounced on him. "HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!" He was chuckling at your excitement. You handed him the present you set up. He unwrapped the box, revealing a picture frame. Inside was the very first picture you guys took, along with several other mini gifts. Mettaton felt his heart begin to melt. "Aww, you're too cute (Y/N)~ Now for my gift. I want you to close your eyes, no peeking!" You closed you eyes tight, waiting for his response. You could hear a bit of rustling in the background. "Okay darling~ Open your eyes!" You slowly open your eyes to see Mettaton with a small box in front of him. Inside was a pair of rings. Promise rings to be exact. The rings were in the designs of crowns.

"M-Mettaton...These are beautiful!" He took the rings out and fit yours onto your finger, and his ring on his hand. (Wait, um...In this story he has no gloves!) You pulled him into a tight embrace. "I love you Mettaton." He pulls away slowly, and lifts up your head with his hand. He leans in and lightly kisses you on the lips. You both part and look at each other with hearts in your eyes. "I love you too (Y/N)."
