A year ago;
Pure joy wrapped an arm around me,
Pulled me close,
And whispered "Hey Ash,"
Like always.

A year ago;
We laughed
Talked
Played
Sang
And cheered on a champion.
We were victorious.

Today;
Memories rewind
And play tag in the clouds,
So I smile,
Stop to watch,
And go on missing you,
Like always.

Today;
I feel an arm around me,
The wind whispers my name,
And color paints the sky.

And suddenly;
Everything is bearable,
Maybe not for always,
But today I remember you.
