Chapter 2

The second day of school. Fighting Naomi.! I stepped inside the school gates confident and enthusiastic.  I will definitely make some male  friends within this week. #mission make male friends, is on!

I am early today so the classroom must be empty, it was actually what i planned, be the first one to reach and if a guy shows up, i smile at him or maybe even talk to him. I opened the door, bingo as planned i am the first one. Now that i am already here what shall i do, read a book? Yeah sounds fine. I searched my bag for a book to read, ok fine physics that should do. I am not a nerd but most people think i look like one, my maximum percentage till now is 76. I am only a mediocre, and i would rather watch a movie than read a novel. In my previous school i had two best friends, Sophia and Tomie. Unlike me they were bold, they did not hesitate to talk to guys, and the best part about them, they never faked themselves. And did i forget to tell they are twins. They both entered the same highschool in the next city, now i can see them only during vacations and Christmas i miss them so much. My chain of thoughts were suddenly interrupted by the sound of the door opening, i am sure that its a guy because i can see his shoes. Thats it this is your big chance, here it comes, wish him morning. Go for it! Go for it! Go for it!..... Here i go.

Me:ummmmm.... Goooodddmmmooorrnninnngggg!.. HowareyouiamNaominicetomeetyouiamyourclassmate. (good morning. How are you? I am Naomi nice to meet you i am your classmate) i did it,
Yes. I slowly opened my eyes to see the guy,my heart was beating so fast, that i could hear it myself. I scanned my eyes to see his face, and as soon as i did i regretted my actions. It was him, he was standing with an annoyed face, and an eyebrow raised, his expression said"who the heck, you think you are talking to? ". Than i did the same thing i did yesterday, i ran away from the class, i am not sure if that was the right thing to do, but that was the only thing i could think. All my efforts, and courage went in vain, who knew someone like him could come so early. I rested my back against a wall, maybe i should wait till my friends come.

Break time.

Classes went smoothly, but i could feel a chill down my spine, it was a strange feeling, like someone was staring at me. The whole time i could feel this unpleasant, uncomfortable feeling. But i dare not turn and see back, i just tried to ignore it for the best.

Betty:hey Naomi, we are going to the cafe today, wana come?

Me:yeah sure sounds good.

Ritsuo:yeah, betty has her own reasons for going there.

Betty:yah Ritsuo its nothing like that.

Ritsuo: dont play dum, we all know you go their, to see your crush kai. You have been going there for the last two years but when it comes to confessing, you always run away.

Betty:Hey you, that's not true, last time i was not ready for it, you pushed me all of a sudden.

Me:kai?

Ritsuo:yeah that's his name. Betty's night and shining armour.

Betty:its knight in shining armour.

Ritsuo: whateva you say.

After school.

Betty: Ritsuo, stop pushing me,
You will make me fall.

Madrina : this is the first time we have come after we joined high school. The last time was on our graduation ceremony right?

Cloe: yeah, i remember Ritsuo, crying because her grades were low and she thought she would not enter the same high school as us.

Ritsuo:hey, don't talk about that,  you are making me look, dumb.

Betty: we are here.

Madrina:hurry Naomi. /

Me:ummm, yes.

Betty:ahhh, i cant wait to see kai.

Madrina: he is the son of the cafes owner, every Wednesday and Friday he works in the cafe after 3:00 pm He goes to the all boys high school, 3rd year. Birth 14 Jan. Loves to eat chicken, a superb dancer.  And popular among girls.

Me:that's a lot of information ha ha. He must be a nice person.

Betty:there, he is.... Coming this way.

I turned my head to see him and.

Me:Oppa?

Everyone:oppa?..........

Kai:Naomi? What are you doing here? Did you join a highschool in this city?

Me: ummm yes. Is this oppa's cafe?

Kai: yeah, mom's actually.

Me:aunty? Where is she?

Kai:well she went to Hokkaido today she will be back on Monday. Till than i am in charge here.

Betty: ummm Naomi do you know him? .

Me: Oh yes, he is my cousin. Kim jogin

Betty:so kai is not his real name.

Me:no, maybe that's a pet name, or something. I remember he told me about his mom opening a cafe. But this is the first time i am here.

Kai:oh, you all are the regular customers of the cafe. What would you like to have? Since you are my sister's friends. I will give you a special discount. 

Everyone:thank you oppa.

Risuo:hamburger and orange juice.

Madrina:green tea.

Cloe:coffee.

Betty:short cake please.

Me:ill have...

Kai: lemon tart right?

Me:ha ha ha yes. Like always.

after sometime.

Kai:thanks for coming, please do come again.
Naomi, if you have time, drop by ok.

Me:sure. Ill come to see aunt once she returns. Bye.

Betty:hey, you two sure get along?

Me:that's because when we were kids, he used to stay with us. His father died when he was only six,aunt was  usually  overseas on business trips he used to come over to stay with us. But than aunts company went bankrupt and than they shifted, and i heard she opened a cafe. We only met during Christmas and new years after than.

Betty:i never knew all of this, and i am lucky that i met you. I can understand him more.

Me:me too i am lucky that i met you all.

Madrina:awwww. Lets take a selfie.

Everyone:bye, see you tomorrow.

Madrina:hey don't ignore me like that.
