Chapter Seven

I walked into the grocery store with a list in hand. As I was walking up and down isles I noticed people were giving me dirty looks, some were even sympathetic. One older lady even came up to me and said "How did such a nice girl like you end up with Ace Merrill?" I couldn't believe she said that! I know he has done some bad but come on, who hasn't?

After I checked out I walked the groceries home since there was only three. I put the groceries up, grabbed a bottle of water, and headed back into town. I pushed the wooden door of Irby's opened and walked into the smoke filled room and walked over to Ace, Eyeball, Vince, and Fuzzy were sitting at the bar. I wrapped my arms around Ace's torso and kissed the back of his neck. "Are you okay babe?" he asked and spun around to face me."Yeah I'm okay, just some lady at the store." I mumbled, "We will talk when we get home." he whispered and started a new game of pool with the boys. We sat around for another two hours until Ace got bored and we went home.

"So what happened at the store?" he asked lighting a cigarette and sitting against the headboard of the bed. "She walked up to me and asked how a nice girl like me ended up with you." I said sitting beside him, "Well don't listen to them okay. But do you regret anything about our relationship?" He whispered, "No, I don't regret anything. I love you John Merrill, more than you will ever know!" I said and kissed his lips.

He grabbed the back of my neck and deepened the kiss so he was massaging my tongue with his. He kissed along my jaw and down my neck while he laid me down on the bed and hovered on top of me. You can imagine the rest...
