"you ready to go?" Andrew asked his daughter as she approached the table, a shit eating grin on her face.
"yeah, I am" she smiled, leaning down to kiss each Horan on the cheek in a polite fashion
"ahh, there you are Niall!" Bobby exclaimed, wrapping an arm around his son's shoulders
"What took you so long?"
"I had an issue, it's fine now though" Niall replied through gritted teeth, death stare locked with Sophia's innocent eyes
"Okay, well your father, Greg and I are going home. Do you and Laura wish to come too, or are you going to this house party you were talking about earlier?"
"The party for sure" Laura replied before Niall could make a sarcastic comment to what Sophia assumed was his step mother
"Yes, definitely" Niall's face washed with relief as his parents agreed to letting them go
"Hey, you should come as well, Soph!" Laura exclaimed, both Niall and Sophia's heads snapping round at her request
"Umm..."
"Yeah! You can meet Scarlett properly" Niall smiled evily, bringing the remainder of his beer to his dry lips
"I'm not sure-"
"Oh, come on sweetheart!" Elizabeth chirped in "Go meet some new people from your school!"
Sophia looked hesitant before locking eyes with her dad - he was practically pleading her to go
Boy, did he want this friendship to last with Bobby
"Okay...I guess a couple hours couldn't hurt"
"Yes!" Laura smiled, yanking her into a tight hug
"I'll call Jeremy - get him to drive you" Bobby spoke, bringing his black iPhone to his ear
"I can't wait to see you let your hair down, Soph" Niall whispered in her ear, his hands back on her hips
"And I guess we're even now" Sophia smirked as she turned around to face him
"Good" they both laughed as Bobby hung up
"Jeremy's outside waiting for you" Bobby smiled, kissing Laura's forehead
"thanks dad!" She called, running for the door with both Sophia and Niall on her heels
"Niall!" Greg piped in suddenly
"Yeah, mate?" Niall asked, smiling at his older brother
"Make sure she doesn't drink to much, please? I don't want to be holding her hair back when she comes home tonight" he replied, nodding his head in the direction of their excited sister while she called her friends
"You got it" he nodded, turning towards Edward, answering the question he was about to ask
"And I'll make sure Soph doesn't either"
Edward shut his mouth like a gulping fish, a satisfied smile on his lips as he nodded his head in approval
"Thank you, Niall. Have a good night"
Niall waved as he pressed his hand on the small of Sophia's back, leading her to the car his father had requested
"After you, Ms Grayson" Niall held open the door, allowing her to get in
"Why thank you, Mr Horan" she gasped as she felt his large hand leave a stinging pain on her barely covered ass
"Don't thank me - you can do that later" he whispered in their ear as the car pulled away to goodness knows where
