Chapter 2: Poisoned

"Where have you been for the last year?" asks Natsu.

"I'll tell you in a bit. Where's Wendy?"

"She's probably with Lucy training." says the master. "She'll be back soon."

(Wendy's POV)

"I think that's enough training for one day," says Lucy. "Let' go grab something to eat."

"Okay," says Wendy.

When we get to the front door of the guild, I see everyone crowed around something or someone. When I get a better view, I was at the verge of tears.

"I guess you were right after all, Wendy," said Lucy.

I saw him turn to look at me. He started running up to me. "Wendy!" He hugged me. I hugged him back.

"Where have you been for the last year? I say, tears running down my face. I was so happy. I knew he would come back one day.

"I was just about to tell everyone the story," he said. "I wanted to wait for you." He grabbed my hand and pulled me towards one of the tables. I sit down while he stands up on the table so that everyone could hear him.

"You may have heard part of this story already, but a year ago when me and Wendy were about to get some lunch. But we were attacked by a wizard named Mard Geer. Wendy tried her best to defeat him, but she was pretty weak after a few attacks. I brought her to safety and battled him myself. He was already running out of magic power, so I finished him off. When I turned around to check on Wendy, I think with the last of his magic power, he teleported me to the other side of the country. It's taken me a year to get back because I didn't have any money to get back here."

While Romeo was answering questions, I turned my head to see a mysterious person at the front door. He was aiming a dart at Romeo. He shot the dart.

"Romeo, look out!"

(Romeo' s POV)

I turned to the side to see Wendy guarding me. A split second later she was shot with a dart. She fell to the ground.

"Wendy!" I cried. "Wendy, can you hear me? Wake up!" There was no answer.

"What do we do?" Lucy asks.

"We have to take her to Porlyusica," I turn to see Master. "She might know what to do."

"C'mon, everyone!" We all rush out the guild doors. I was carrying Wendy in my arms.

"Hang in there Wendy."
