I ran after Brandon. He slowed after awhile.
"We're here." He says.
"Let's go." I run forward.
"Nonononononono!" He pulls me back. "Wait."
The portal is a decagon about 3 feet across. It has a holographic rainbow outline and the inside of it is black, swirled with the same holographic rainbow colour.
"Ok. I have to say a specific word." He says.
"Kayyy..." I say.
"Bane." Brandon whispers.
The portal changes from black to a familiar scene. It was Esmeralda and Kyle! They were still suspended in the chains, their energy slowly fading.
"When I say jump, jump." Brandon says.
"Okay."
"Jump!"
We jumped. It felt weird for a little bit, but soon we were sitting on the ground staring up at them.
"L-Lacey. Bran-Brandon." The spirits say.
"We're going to get you out of there!" I yell.
"No, if you touch them... they'll bind you as well. Please." Kyle struggles.
"But-" Brandon starts.
"No. Go back to your afterlife. Let us fade." Esmeralda says.
"But-" I begin.
"GO! Don't be stupid like that girl Amy!" They say in sync.
"I- I'll miss you." Brandon stutters.
"I can't live without you!" I say.
"Then it's a good thing your already dead." Esmeralda sobs.
"GO!" They screech.
"Oh-oh-okay... but I'm not forgetting you." I say.
"Come on, Lace. We have to let them fade." Brandon says.
"Your immortal in my heart." I say, turning away.
"Good bye forever."
