— One Year Later —
— 3:00p.m. Smallville —
"Fuck!" Kara snarled, skidding across the floor and slamming into a wall.
She had spent the past year learning how to be human. How to speak the English language, how to keep her identity secret, and most importantly, how to use her powers.
Learning what she was capable of.
She stood up, staring down at her White Stripes t-shirt, now with a large gash across the front, exposing part of her lacy black bra.
"Man, I liked this shirt," she sighed and looked up at her enemy.
Kal wasn't exaggerating when he said Smallville got its fair share of Kryptonite based villains, this was her third fight in a month.
The man before her was covered in Kryptonite tattoos.
And, totally about to get his ass kicked.
"Stay down, little girl!" He screamed, green froth dribbling from his lips, "Once I'm done with the wannabe, I'm going after the real deal! Toe to toe with the big man in the sky."
She had to be smart about this. Garth wasn't like most of the meat-heads that got a hold of Kryptonite. He was smart. He had watched Kara, had seen her use her heat-vision, her super-strength. He figured out she was connected to Superman, and had gone after her. Garth had gone after Martha. She was going to have to be more careful when using her gifts.
Kara groaned, "Why do I have to keep explaining this. Okay, look- Yes, I am a little shorter, yes I am blonde, and yes I have C-cups, but I am just as strong as Superman. Honestly, you should feel honored. All the strength of the big 'cuz and all of my charming whit."
Almost all the strength. She had yet to take to the sky. Yet to fly.
He just stared at her, still frothing. Kara scoffed and slid her leg back, holding her fists up, "Let's get this over with."
The man, Garth, rushed at her, screaming and spitting green saliva. He pulled his fist back, swinging at her. Kara caught his arm, wincing at the burn from his Kryptonite tattoos. She spun on her heel, flinging him through the air before leaping after him. She touched down beside his body and caught a handful of his hair, smashing his head against the ground over and over again. He reached back and grabbed her hair, flipping her over.
"This isn't fun anymore!" She yelled, twisting his arm and shoving his head away with her foot. Kara pulled back further, until she heard his shoulder pop out of place. He screamed, but she didn't let up. She twisted his arm back further and sat up, resting her knee against his neck.
"Stop squirming," she muttered, "C'mon, I've got to work tomorrow, just pass out already, damn."
Garth gasped out in a squeaky breath, trying to speak. He clawed at her face with his other hand, pulling her hair.
"Ow, stop it," she swatted at his hand, "Stop."
Garth slowly went limp, his body slumping and eyes rolling back into his skull. Kara sighed and sat back, resting on her hands as Garth finally lost consciousness.
She made a face and reached into her back pocket, pulling out her Android. "Shit," the screen was completely shattered. The fourth phone she had gone through. "Oh, I am so grounded."
— Saturday 5:15 p.m. Smallville —
Kara fell back onto the couch, cold pizza in one hand, t.v. remote in the other. Time for a six hour White Collar marathon.
