Chapter 6

Today I felt like I was on Cloud Nine. Today was Friday aka the day I meet my future husband. I mean, Austin Mahone. This past week I was too distracted to do anything. I mean of course I did my work but my work was mostly dedicated to Austin. For example, in English class we had to write an essay on "if we could trade place with anybody, who would it be?" And obviously I wrote about whoever was Austin's best gal friend, that's who I would trade place with. It took me the whole class period and I wrote about two and half pages on it.

Anyways, on Wednesday I asked Flo if she wanted to go to see Austin Mahone live and she said it wasn't really her "scene" but she's willing to go because she had nothing else to do this weekend.

"Great! Well my best friend, Jaz, and I were gonna go to the mall today so we can buy some Austin T-shirts so you can come with us to buy one too!" I exclaimed.

"Yeah, as much as I want to match with you guys I rather not. So just be lucky I agreed to go to the concert with you. Later." Flo said as she walked to her next class.

On Thursday, Kyle started to flirt with me a bit. I guess you can say we have a thing but I'm not sure. Like I said, I don't know anything about boys. I told Jaz about him and she said he's totally into me and I should go for it. I want to but at the same time I don't because Flo would find out and she would be pissed at me since she said to stay away from him.

Now it was after school and I was walking to my dad's office. I had my headphones on and I was quietly humming along to "Misery Business" by Paramore. Flo got me into Paramore these days. Suddenly I felt two large hands crept around my waist. Before I could scream, the person took off my headphones and whispered in my ear.

"Hey bat girl.."

I turned around and noticed it was just Kyle.

"So now my nickname is bat girl?" I giggled.

"Well yeah, we were wearing matching batman shirts and like I said before 'it was meant to be' and plus I have it as your contact name on my phone." he said as he showed me his phone.

And there it was on his phone, "My bat girl" with a heart next to it.

I started blushing so I stared at the ground and started adjusting my glasses.

"Anyways, what are you doing here?" I asked.

"I saw you walking alone so I thought I could give you a ride." he replied.

"Thanks but I'm just walking to my dad's office. It's just a 10 minute walk from the school."

"Oh okay well I guess I just walk you there."

He then entwined his fingers with mine and started walking next to me.

We started talking a bit about what we were doing for the weekend. Then, Kyle started pulling something out of his back pocket. Turns out it was a pack of cigarettes. He opened the pack and took a stick out. After he took a lighter and lit the cigarette. He inhaled a bit and a few seconds later puffs of smoke was coming out of his mouth.

I guess I had some sort of amazed look on my face because he looked at me and chuckled.

"What, you never seen a cigarette before?" he chuckled.

"No.. I mean yeah I have but I just never met anyone who smokes."

"Well, do you want one?" he asked as he took the pack out again.

"No thanks." I then realized we were right by my dad's office building.

"Well thanks for walking me." I said.

"No problem babe." He smiled.

He then started leaning in.

"I'll see you on Monday bye!" I hesitated. I then started speed walking into the building before Kyle could say anything.

I just couldn't believe that Kyle tried to kiss me!! I mean, it's not that I don't want him to kiss me. If he did that would've been my first kiss and I don't know if I'm ready for that just yet.

It was Friday night and it was just about two hours before the concert. I was definitely excited to meet Austin. I didn't know what to say so I practiced with Jaz what we would do once we get backstage. After we practiced, Jaz and I started getting ready. I decided to wear my contacts instead of my glasses. Yes, I do have contacts but I rarely wear them I just prefer my glasses instead. We couldn't find any Austin T-shirts so we decided to wear whatever. I decided to wear my red Marvel tank top, blue jean shorts, and a pair of red toms. After that Jaz helped me straighten my hair and I put a red bow on the back of my head. Hopefully my hair stays straight after the concert cause it tends to frizz back to its normal wavy state.

Jaz decided to wear a black crop top with daisies on them, red high waisted shorts, and her black converses. She then fish tailed braided her long hair and put some blush and eyeliner.

"I want to be appealing for Austin." She answered when I ask her why she's putting makeup. I love her but sometimes she can over dress for different occasions. After we were ready the door bell rang.

"Oh that must be Flo! Come on!" I said as I ran downstairs to answer the door.

I opened the door and hugged Flo. She wore a t-shirt that's said "you got served", black shorts with chains on it, and black vans. Her hot pink hair was pushed back with a American Flag pattern headband.

"Hey, you look great!" I exclaimed.

"Thanks I tried." she laughed.

"Well this is my best friend, Jaz;" I said as I pointed to Jasmine "And Jaz, this is Flo." I said as I gestured Jaz to Flo.

"Nice to meet you!" Jaz replied as she stuck her hand out to Flo.

Flo calmly took her hand and smiled.

"Before we go, can we take a picture?" I asked the girls.

They both agreed and my dad snapped a picture for us. I sent it to the both of them and then put the picture as my profile picture on Twitter because I liked so much.

"To Austin Mahone!" Jaz shouted as we headed towards the car.

"One question." Flo said as we got into the car.

"Yeah?" I replied.

"Will there be screaming, giddy girls at this concert?"

"Of course!"

"Ooh great.. I knew I should of brought my ear plugs.." Flo mumbled.

We all laughed at her remark.

I started playing "Say Your Just A Friend" so we could prepare Flo for the concert.

Austin Mahone, here we come.
