Thoughts are an endless stream of information. Constantly created, sometimes shared.
In our modern day culture, thoughts are a gigantic taboo. People seem to be anxious, cautious, when it comes to letting others see, understand what they're thinking. This is, however, the biggest barrier in our individual development, as it causes us to constantly live in fear of what the other may be thinking. This taboo not only emphasizes the individualization process, but it also creates ennemies out of the other life experiencers. Everyone is therefore a possible threat. This should not be such a big discovery, as we all experience this on a daily basis, or at least we have at some point.
The real threat here, is yourself.
You see, every thought you have generates thousands of new pathways, leading to new thoughts which your brain calculates based on the previous one. Every single bad thought you have, opens the door to thousands of new bad thoughts, which themselves open doors to thousands of newer bad thoughts, and it goes on endlessly. This is basically one of the key features in the all-inclusive data package known as depression. In the same fashion, every good thought opens you up for thousands of new good thoughts. On a psychological level, you're way better off having thousands of good thoughts rather than bad ones, just saying, in case you didn't know.
If you recall what I explained in the last chapter, the way you experience life is basically defined by the thoughts you create. While this is very happyland-ish, the real deal comes in hand when you think on terms of experience. A compilation of good thoughts superior in number to a compilation of bad thoughts, on a given timeline, would define the experience as rather positive than negative.
However, to be able to better understand the mechanics of life, we need to understand how thoughts are created and what makes exactly makes them good or bad.
