Spotlight (5SOS Fanfiction)

"Calum, come here!" I exclaim as I watch yet another YouTube video. Her voice was angelic, and she got so into the music it was incredible. We had been looking for an opening act for our tour and she seemed perfect for it. Calum sits next to me and I show him a few of her covers.

"She's great, why don't you email her?" Calum suggests and I nod. I pull up my email and type hers into the address bar.

Hi! I'm Luke Hemmings from 5 Seconds of Summer and we've been looking for an opening act for our tour and I thought you would be great! The boys agree with me, what do you think? Email me back whenever! :-)

I send the email and close the computer. I walked over to the guys. "I emailed a girl for the opening act gig, she's really great."

"I trust your judgment, what does she sing?" Michael asks.

"She sings all kinds of stuff, All Time Low, Mayday Parade, some pop stuff, she's even done some covers of our songs," I say and the guys nod. "I emailed her and I'm just waiting for a response, I'll let you guys know what she says." I say and they all nod. I was really excited for the tour, it was going to be wicked. It was our first time doing our own WORLD TOUR!

We had toured with Hot Chelle Rae and One Direction and we had done some radio tours but never a headline tour, we were all super excited and so were the fans. Everyone was waiting anxiously to know our opening act so we've been trying to find someone and I think this girl would be perfect for it. Her name was Aurora Long, she had auburn colored hair which was styled in a fringe, brown eyes, and basically only wore band tees. She was the girl version of 5SOS. I had also seen a few of her vlogs, she seemed to be hilarious and had a great personality.

She was from Massachusetts in the US so she would have to fly here for the first shows. She said in one of her vlogs she had never been out of the US so this would be such a great experience for her. She's sixteen, has two brothers, and her parents are divorced. No I'm not creepy, I just pay attention.

Aurora's POV

My computer pinged notifying me I had an email so I ran over to check it. I opened it up and I almost fell over because of who it was from. Luke Hemmings wants me to tour with them OH MY GOD. I let out a scream and my mom comes into my room asking what's wrong.

"5 Seconds of Summer wants me to open for them on their world tour!" I scream and my mom's eyes widen and she screams with me and we jump up and down together. This is what I love about my mother, she completely supports me and everything I do. I read the entire email and I almost die. They want me to tour with them! What!

Luke,

Wow, I can't believe you actually emailed me, I'm kind of in shock right now! Ha! But wow, that sounds absolutely incredible, I would love to! I've spoken to my mom and dad and they are totally on board! Thank you so much for the amazing opportunity!

I hit send and my mom and I start flipping out together and my brothers come upstairs, they are twins, they're eighteen, they'll be going to college this fall.

"Why is everyone yelling and jumping up and down?" One of them, Garret, asks.

"5 Seconds of Summer wants your sister to go on tour with them this summer!" My mom exclaims and my brothers' eyes widen.

"Are you serious? That's brilliant!" Daniel shouts and I nod excitedly.

"I know!" I shout and my computer pings once again and I almost trip over my bed trying to get to it.

That sounds great! We will make arrangements to fly you out here within the next few weeks to get you started with rehearsing and all! Pick out songs you would like to perform, covers or originals, either works! I'll send you more details about your flight and everything once we know everything!

"They're making arrangements for me to fly to Australia within the next few weeks for rehearsals!" I squeal and everyone hugs me. This is so incredible, I have a few subscribers on YouTube and everything but I'm going on a world tour! My career is officially starting! This is unbelievable.

A/N: So I don't know if anyone's actually going to read this fan fiction but I liked the whole concept that I had; I'm going to keep working on it and if I get enough feedback on this little bit then I will keep posting! Please vote, comment, and fan if you would like to read more!
