Chapter 1:
"LET ME GO!! LET ME BE FREE," I cried out as I picked myself from the floor. My mangled body lifted from the ashes. My white wings turned into a dark smoky color from the destruction I caused. A circle of fire surrounded me.
'What have I done?" I looked down at my hands which were covered in blood. I looked around the wasteland. There was nothing, but piles of bones and rotting bodies of humans and horses.
The moans and screams from the dying bodies made my bones shiver. The smell of burnt flesh made me yell. I was just yelling. I felt so much pain so much regret.
'WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME!? WHY ME!? I AM NOT A BEAST. I AM NO DEMON. I AM AN ANGEL! An angel," my voice started to trail away.
I just began to sob. My tears fell on the skulls that surrounded my feet. The harder I sobbed the bigger and hotter the flames got. I suddenly stopped crying to find a beautiful young girl in front of me. She was about 20 in age with long snow white hair. Her skin was carmel with a long tatoo of a sun on her arm. Her eyes were pure ocean blue. Her complextion was flawless. She reached towards me with his tatoo arm. I grabbed it.
"Valentine. You...." she lifted me to her chest. She rubbed my chest with claw like hands.
"You are the one I was looking for." She looked me in the eyes. Her eyes turned from blue to a red. I felt a stinging pain in my chest. I glared down to see that she ripped my heart out of my chest. My heart laid in her hand beating its final beats.
'YOU ARE THE MONSTER!!!" She giggled as she threw my heart across the wasteland. I didn't know what to do. I stood there fazed. I was in complete shock. I fell on my knees and my world turned black.
The darkness seem to shake me. It was rocking my body, and I heard a voice in the distances,
"Valentine! Valentine! Wake up!!!" a female voice woke me up. I opened my eyes to a darken room. A girl had me by my shoulders looking me in the eyes. The dim light from the lamp shedded some light on her face. There were tears in her eyes. She hugged me burying her face in my chest.
"You had another nightmare you were screaming so loud. We are going to take you back to the doctor. This can't go on!" She cried even more on my chest. I hugged her backing letting her know that I was ok.
"Let's rest. I am really beat," I calmy whispered in her. She got her face out of my cotton shirt, and nodded at me.
"Let us rest," she repeated and rolled over back to her side on the bed.
I laid on my back and turned off the lamp. She cuddled on my chest.
"Tomorrow we will get you better again," she said sleeply and yawned. "Tomorrow." I could feel her body relax on mine
Will I really get better? Do these dreams mean something? These thoughts rolled in my head throughout the long empty night.
