I woke up aching, my bones all groaning at once, feeling the full impact of being thrown, unconscious, onto the hard dark cold floor of a dungeon. My wrists were shackled to long chains that were cemented inside of a rock. The chains suffocated my wrists, and my arm muscles groaned in protest with every moment.
I stood, chains clanking at my sides as I stood, noticing my disheveled appearance.
I had been captured.
The legendary silver prince.
Re-buttoning my shirt, and straightening my trench-coat, I made myself relatively presentable. Making sure my white hair was clean and parted well, I stretched my muscles, yanking at the chains that connected me to the dark room.
The only limited amount of light that I had came from a small opening that let a single ray of light infiltrate my room.
It was small, but it was enough.
Stretching the chains to their maximum length, I came into the most lighted space the cell could offer. Looking at the shackles, I ran my fingers over the two lock-shaped mechanisms on each of my wrists. Sitting on the ground, disregarding the cold damp ground I searched the pockets of my trench coat, finding that everything had been taken, nothing remained for me to possibly aide my escape.
I flopped down on my back, trench-coat flying open and spreading around me in a Dark halo. The cross flew from around my neck, hitting the ground with a dull click.
It seemed they didn't take everything.
Realization hit me like a 50-tonne boulder. I shot up as If I were electrocuted, and forced my fingers up to my cross, taking the long chain in my fingers and studying the black form with squinted eyes.
Holding my left wrist to the light, I fit the cross into the lock, feeling around for a pin. Suddenly the cross stuck, striking a thin needle inside the lock. I turned the cross slowely, and five clicks resounded through the air.
The chain fell to the ground, clanking as it released my sore, bruised, wrist. A hiss escaped my lips as my blood was finally able to flow to my oxygen-deprived hands.
After fiddling with the right mechanism, it also flew open. The two chains fell, and as a plan formed in my head, I kicked the shackles over to the well-lit part of the room, and positioned myself in the darkest part of the room, near the door.
Any moment now.....

"Were here to take you to trial, brat."The door opened, and two military police cloaks shuffled in. One was balding, and the other was well on his way. Both of them gasped as they saw the discarded shackles in the light.
Which led to their mistake #1
They ran into the room, touching the shackles, talking in worried voices about the silver prince. As they pointed to the small window, I gave a small laugh from the wide-open doorway soaking in my glory. "Nice try, idiots." As the both of them shoved and pushed to get to the door, I slammed it in both of their faces, smiling as I did so.
Sliding down the other side of the door, I spoke to them through the metal, ensuring they could hear me.
"This place is full of criminals who are yelling to get out. Do you really think they will pay any extra attention to you drunk bastards?"
With a final laugh and a resounding silence, I moved. Quick and quiet movements, through the tall, expansive halls of the detainment centre.Pressing myself to one of the corners, I listened, making sure no one was in the corridor ahead, I jumped forward, marveling at the high ceilings and rough walls.
