Wrong move bastards.

As soon as my wrists unshackled, I flipped. Back over my head, like an acrobat. My feet landed expertly on top of the pole I was chained to before.

On their 3DMG gear, the other survey corps whizzed after me. But I knew their one weakness. Close combat.

Mua hahahaha.

I stood on the pole, bleeding, dirty, with anger in my eyes, watching two specks on people fly towards me, their gear was useless in the hall. As long as it was close combat, I could win.

Easily.

A row of people crowded around me, attempting to get me off of my perch. Their heads made a road, like stones in a paved street, all different colours.

In the crowd, I tentatively stepped onto the first head. The man whom I had stepped on swatted at me, before his knees buckled in surprise, but by the time he was down, I was already onto the next stone in my elevated path out of the courthouse.

I was suddenly pulled down into the crowd, my trench wrenched down into the chaos.

"Brat, why do you always have to make so much trouble?"

Finally, as the crowd parted, the fatigue and bruises pervading my body took over, and my head lolled to the side.
Black swarmed my vision, and the last thing I saw was Levi's face, eyes slightly wide, and his lips parted the smallest amount.

Why was he always there when I fell unconscious?

For the millionth time it seemed, I fell into an endless black hole. I felt myself nestle against a strong torso and a pair of arms.

Levi POV.

I sighed as Fitz's head lolled into my chest, the lights knocked out of her eyes. I put a hand to her forehead. Hot skin came up to greet me.

A sigh escaped my lips. Of course she manages to get sick.

I carried her to one of the side chairs, next to Eren, Mikasa, and Armin. Laying her down on her back, I gave another sigh. Her white hair spread in a halo around her delicate features.

"Let's get back to headquarters. The new addition is sick. She won't be operational for the next two days." He looked over to Mikasa, Armin and Eren. "I expect you to keep an eye on her when I'm not around."

I gazed at Fitz, her appearance lifting the corners of my mouth ever so slightly.

Fitz.

It was back when we were both only starting out, it was sunny, and our little crew had just gotten our hands on our first mechanism of fully equipped 3DMG. Fitz had convinced, (more like blackmailed) the rest of us into letting her try it out first.

She was fully in, her eyes closed. Her left hand flew across the right hook, and it secured into a nearby building. There was a woosh, and she rose in the air, looping around the hook's position in the side of the building and landing on a high segment of roof. After a few more runs, galloping and twisting through the air with the 3DMG, Fitz made a T with her body and fell.

Almost in slow motion, I started running.

Like a suicide leap, she was free-falling in the air.

But her arms were straight, and a look of interest was sparked up on her face.

Centimeters above serious injury, Fitz shot up, her ropes tensing for a quarter of a second, then allowing her to fly through the air, like a rotating blade.
