When I get to school I realize I forgot breakfast. Oh well. I look up and see my new school. It's brick and looks old with a sign that says Hunger Game High. Teenagers are everywhere. Friends hugging and gossiping, BFs and GFs kissing. And then there's me. A ugly lonely girl who no one cares about. I stare at the ground and pretend everyone around me is Medusa. That if I look at them I'll turn to stone.
I'm almost in the school until I walk into someone. My books go everywhere. Nice way to start the school year Katniss. Ugh. "Here let me help". I look up and see a cute boy with blonde hair and blue eyes. He looks adorable and is totally hot. Calm down Katniss. When did you start liking boys?The boy grabs all my books and then offers his hand to me. I kindly take it then brush the dirt off my jeans.
"Are you alright, Miss?" the boy asks. "Yeah. I'm fine. I'm just new here and I was wondering if maybe you could help
me?". "Of course! Here do you want me to take you to the office so you can get your papers?". "Yes please." The blonde boy takes me to the office. I get my papers from a woman with way too much make up on. She introduces herself as Ms. Octavia. She's very perky and annoying. As we leave she chirps,"Have a good day children!"
"What locker are you?" the boy asks." #234." "Cool I'm #235.Guess we're locker buddies." He shows a gorgeous smile so radiant the Sun would be jealous. What's up with me? I'm not normally the crushing type. "Well I gotta go to class", I say hoping he didn't see me blush when he smiled."Wait!You didn't tell me your name!" "It's Katniss. and yours is...? "Peeta. Nice to meet you Katniss."
