I open my eyes and see my 12 year old sister standing over me. "Wake up Katniss!It's the first day of school!" Ugh. This year is going to be awful. I'm new to the school so that means no friends. I've always been the loner at school. I've only had one real friend and that's Gale Hawthorne. He's still in New York though while I'm stuck here in stupid LA. Ugh. "Katniss!?" Oh I forgot. Prim's here. "I'm up.I'm up ok."
Prim gets up and says "Breakfast is going to be ready in 5." And with that she walks out of my room, happily. I groan and get out of bed. I go take a shower , throw my hair in a bow bun,and apply a little bit of makeup. Then go to my closet and choose skinny jeans, a light blue cami, a dark blue crop top, and periwinkle heels.
I get dressed and run down stairs.Prim is sitting at the table filling her mouth up with pancakes.Mom is making eggs. With a full mouth of food she says,"Are ya far skoal?" "Prim talk with your mouth closed you silly duck". "Quack"is all she says. We both laugh then look at the clock.7:45. School starts at 8:00. "Crap!We're going to be late!"I grab my light purple purse and run out the door.
"Come on Prim. We're going to be late!" Since I'm only 15 I can't drive yet so Prim and I normally run to school. "Forgetting something?", Prim says. She stands over the door waving my backpack in the air. I run back and grab my pink flowered backpack. "Thanks Prim!Mom's driving you to school right?" "Yes Kat! Now go before you're late to high school! Don't wanna be late on your first day."" You're right. Bye little Duck!Love ya!""Luv ya to Kat! Bye!"
