"Excuse me." The cop spoke.
Oh shit.
Taehyung and I looked up at the cop, trying to hide our worried looks.
"Have you two, by any chance, seen a red purse?" He spoke kindly. Holy crap I almost lost my shit.
Thank god.
(BAHAHHAAH YALL THOUGHt)
"Oh, no. Sorry officer! We haven't." I spoke out in a phony perky voice. "Darn. Poor woman lost her purse, we searched the whole mall. Nothing." He frowned. "Well, I'm sorry to bother you two. Have a nice day." He smiled nicely, bowed slightly, and walked away, to another table.
I looked at Tae, waiting for a reaction."I thought we were busted for a second." I spoke. "I thought so too. We better hurry before we really do get caught. I cant believe he didn't recognize us." I nodded in agreement.
A few minutes had passed, and we ordered sandwiches and tea. Taehyung being Taehyung, inhaled his sandwich in 3 minutes while I followed behind him with a solid 5 minutes. I'm not gonna bullshit you. When I'm hungry, I become a vacuum. We finished our tea, paid, and raced out the mall as if there were a time bomb about to explode any second.
We walked down the streets of the city, on our way back to Jackson's place to pick up the car, which should hopefully have a key. Tae held my hand and stuffed it into his hoodie pocket once again as we strolled down the busy streets.
The rambunctious, yet somewhat satisfying sounds of cars driving by, and honking encompassed my ears. Neatly trimmed bushes and trees swaying as the wind swept through the maze of buildings. It was actually all quite calming. The air was cool, for it had been one of those cloudy drowsy days.
Tae was quiet as we walked. So was I. I guess we were both sort of in that 'shut up, just listen' mood. He just peacefully walked from block to block with me. I liked this.
Soon enough, we reached Jacksons place. We walked down the familiar ally way. Because we were walking, it gave me a chance to really admire the scenery. The bright colors popped.
Tae and I head reached the entrance to the bright interior building. I peeked inside behind Taehyung spotting Jackson working on another car in the far left corner of the warehouse. "Jackson!" Taehyung shouted, his booming voice echoed off the glossy bright white walls. Jackson jumped at the sound at his name called so exaggeratedly. He looked up, wiping the beads of sweat off his forehead with his well toned forearm. "You got it done?" Tae asked walking over to him with my hand in his. "Unfortunately." Jackson sighed and dug through his pocket. He pulled out a shiny object, which I'm guessing was the key.
"Here you go princess." Jackson tossed the key to Taehyung. Tae let go of my hand momentarily and caught it, holding it in his hand that wasn't taken by my hand. "Thanks man." Tae smiles down at the key.
"I swear Taehyung. You're a dead man if my ass gets busted for making a copy key for another stolen fuckin car. I've been clean from prison for a while now, I ain't going back." Jackson raises an eyebrow. Tae smiles at him. "You won't."
"So what's happening with you Mr. Clean." Tae and I follow Jackson back over to the car he was working on. "Um, well, not much. Just been busy with this place." Jackson sighs, getting back to fixing up a car. I leave the two to chat, as I walk around and examine the gorgeous cars parked around the glossy white interior.
