"Higher mommy. Higher." I said swinging on the swing.

"Of course Scarlett" she laughed pushing me higher in the air. A couple of minutes later I felt the pressure on my back go away and the swing slow down.

"Mommy?" I asked turning around to look at her.

She was looking at the sky with a frightened expression. So I looked up and saw that the clouds were not their normal white, but pitch black. I looked back at mommy.

"Why are the clouds black?" I asked full of curiosity. As if snapped out of a trance she looked at me.

"You need to go inside, now. Go hide."

"But Mommy I still want to....."

"Consider it hide and seek. I'll come and look for you."

At the mention of the game I couldn't help but get a little excited and ran inside the house and hid underneath the sink. Hours passed by and I just thought that my mommy wasn't that good at hide and seek. So I decided to go and look for her.

After searching the house I couldn't find her. So I looked outside.

Present Day

That was thirteen years ago. Thirteen years ago was the last day that I saw my mom. I'm eighteen now and living with my aunt. Everyone thinks that my mom left on purpose, that she'll never come back. They are all wrong I know my mom. She loved me and never would leave me.

She was kidnapped. By who? I don't know. Though I have something from that day. A black feather. I found it by the swings. I have a reason to believe that it fell off of the person who took my mom away from me.

I'll get her back. No matter what I have to go through.
