One - Heartless

The cold night breeze blew and touched my pale skin

It should have made me shiver but I didn't feel anything

Feelings only remind me of a past lover

It was once side by side with you, now a total stranger

My eyes roamed the street, searching for the one to be my feast

A woman sat by the bench, but her strong perfume almost kills my appetite

A man wobbled by the lamppost, but I'm not desperate enough to feed something that stinks

A pretty little girl crossed the street. She's a little lost, that I can see

I followed her lithe figure as she enters a café

She asked the waiter something, but said man shook his head negative

I touched her shoulder, her pretty doe eyes soon gaze at me

I curved my lips into a beautiful smile and told her I can take her where she wants to be

Her response was a cute bright smile, and I almost rejected my choice for the night

We left the café, my dead heart rejoicing for a sweet decent feast

The little girl let go of my hand, and soon she was in his arms

I stood there staring, wondering and confused

Said little girl turned to me, apologizing for she doesn't need my help anymore

Her brother already found her, and now he was gazing at me too

Said brother mumbled his thanks, scratching his head although I think it's not itchy

And when his lips curved to a smile, I think dead heart beats once or twice
