Expriment [An Lucky one by Exo short concept story]

Expriment (pt.1)

  Lucky one
/One shot inspired by the concept in “Lucky one” by Exo/

Quiet.
Silence.
That’s what surrounded him he felt nothing nor could see the space was black  and his body felt as if it was wrapped in a velvety  heaviness which was impossible to describe.

Eventually things began to seep threw the dark velvety existence, he could hear voices murmuring in the far distance, light seemed to flicker behind his eyelids.

Everything felt like it was far away and down a tunnel.
Then the tunnel seemed to start to dissolve and he could see light behind his eyelids his hearing became more sharp and he could hear the rustle of cloth nearby and voices. But whatever they were saying was incomprehensible.

Slowly his eyes fluttered open and were blinded by white.

He took in his surroundings.

It appeared to be some sort of hospital room and a cross in-between a lab.  The room was circular and was pretty much white. There were other beds in the room too but they all seemed to be empty at the current moment.

Glancing to his right, he could see that there was a packet of clear liquid draining into his right arm. He seemed to be sitting up.  Looking down he could see he was wearing some sort of white hospital patient uniform, the legs were baggy but not too baggy and the shirt felt short sleeved. Over the shirt was a jacket, no buttons long sleeved and with a collar around his neck.

Trying to move, the young man discovered that his arms were both strapped to the rails of the white lounging bed at the wrists.

“Oh, you’ve come to your senses.”

A petit young woman looking around 20 or 21 the same age as the young man stood next to the bed. She wore a short white dress uniform that came down to just above her knees. Under the dress she wore a intense pair of coral leggings, over the outfit she wore some sort of lab coat. Her hair with was a rich deep brownish red had been gathered together and pulled back smoothly into a ponytail with no bumps to be seen.  The sides of the dress were striped too with the same color as the leggings. It wasn’t very clear what the woman’s eye color was for she wore an orange visor over her eyes and the top half of her face. She carried a clip board in her hands, a white paper clipped to it with some fine print and boxes but the young man could not read it, for it was too small.

He blinked and stared at her,  his mind was still trying to process everything. Including the fact that he still couldn’t seem to recall anything before waking up in the room.

“Can you hear what I’m saying?”

The woman asked him, just the slightest touch of concern in her voice.

“Yes……where….where am I?”

He finally asked his deep brown eyes looking at her orange tinted ones.

“A lab.”

The woman made herself comfortable on the edge of the bed, as the young man peered down at her.

“Tell me sir, what do you remember  before this?”

The young man thought, and struggled to recall anything, he couldn’t recall.

“Nothing.”
“perfect…”
The woman murmured and wrote something down with a orange pen.

“Excuse me miss…miss…”
“That’s classified. What’s your question?”
“What…What happened and why am I here!?”
He asked his voice tinted with a little panic as it all hit him. 

The woman looked down  at him and smiled a little.
“You’re the first to ask that question. The others are usually too tired or their minds too foggy to grasp anything.”
“ The others…?”
The male asked his eyes widening a little. 
“Of course, your not the only one. Now this might make you feel a little weird, sit tight.”

From one of her lab coat pockets, the women produced a syringe and walked over to the IV packet connected to the males arm. In the packet there was a little dent with a hole, made to fit the syringe. She pushed the syringe into its nook and injected what seemed to be some sort of black fluid into the IV.

Immediately  the young man felt himself starting to feel drowsy, his eyes drooped and eventually he blacked out.
