Chapter 6

The marriage was a successful one. Maanvi and the Chaudhary family were going to stay with the Vadheras for three more days for rituals.

After getting home, Viren and Jeevika had to do the rituals. The rituals went well and it was finally their first night. During the night, viren went to his room where his wife was waiting for him. Inside the room, jeevika was sitting on her bed when he heard viren coming. Viren was a bit reluctant but then went near jeevika removed her veil and was about to say something but then his phone started ringing. Viren asked the man why did he call late in the night.

"Viren sir, sorry but we have an emergency, it is concerning Jaiswal. Jaiswal was planning to attack you again. Come here fast" the man replied.

Viren was shocked and asked him to wait, he was coming. Jaiswal was the enemy of Viren. Jeevika not knowing what is happening asked viren. Viren not wanting to make his wife afraid told her that it was an emergency related to his work. He told her that he will come late and said sorry to her. He quickly go leaving jeevika alone. Jeevika waited for him till midnight but he did not come, she slept with sadness that viren did not come.

Early morning Viren came, he entered the room where he was surprised to see that jeevika waited for him the entire night. She did not even change and was still with the wedding dress. He went near her and quietly said sorry for making her wait. He loved jeevika the first day itself when he saw the picture. He caressed her hair when suddenly jeevika woke up. Jeevika and viren shared an eye lock moment. Then jeevika said

" Virenjii, when did you come? "

Viren then told her that he came a while ago. Viren asked her to forgive him for leaving her alone last night. Jeevika thought that virenjii is a nice guy, he cares for me. Someone knocked at the door, jeevika went to open and he saw virat standing near the door. Virat greeted her and asked his bhai to come to his room. Viren went to virat's room. After some minutes, jeevika saw that is already      7. 00 , breakfast time was 8. 00 and the Vadheras do not tolearte if anyone come late for breakfast. They were very strict regarding their rules.
Today, she has to cook for everyone. She quickly went to the kitchen where she saw her mother-in-law. She greeted her. Jeevika made kheer for everyone. The Vadheras knew that jeevika cooks very well as they tasted her food once. At 7. 30, the Chadhary were awake except Maanvi. Everyone was in the living room including the Vadheras. Jeevika greeted them and realised that Maavi was still sleeping.
She feared that maanvi may be late for breakfast and swamini will be more angry with her. So she quickly made her way to Maanvi's  room.

There she found a sleepy Maanvi on the bed. She went near her and called her twice but she did not respond. She shook her and asked her to wake up. Maanvi tell her to leave her and she want to sleep for some more time. Jeevika told her that it is not in Hrishikesh here, it is Chandigarh. Here the vadheras have a specific time for breakfast. Jeevika asked her whether she will wake up or not. But maanvi told her no. Jeevika then told her that it is time to wake you up, i always succeed at last. She held both her feet and try to remove her from the bed. Maanvi was pleading her not to do that. But jeevika badly wanted her to wake up. So jeevika did not pay heed to her mannu and continue to shake her. At last jeevika remove maanvi's blacket and Maanvi was forced to jump out from the bed. There she was still sleepy, so she jumped on her bed again. It was 7. 45, jeevika this time went and sat on the bed. Maanvi put her head on the lap of her dii. Jeevika caressed maanvi's head and asked her to wake up. Maanvi told her that it is still eary. But jeevika told he the rules of the vadheras. Maanvi said that she will wake up because she does not want her dii to be insulted because of her. In the meanwhile, maanvi was coughing badly. Jeevika asked her whether she was fine. But she replied that she is okay. Jeevika thought that she is always sick and hoped that she get all the sorrow of maanvi and my maanvi get all the happiness in the world. After that the jeevika asked maanvi to dress up quickly and be at the table by 8. 00 a.m

Maanvi quickly woke up and went in her washroom. Jeevika went downstairs.

Viren tastes the Kheer. He makes a face but eat it quickly. He eat all from the bowl. The family stared at him and was shocked. Seeing viren eating like this, the Vadheras taste it. They praised it with a different face....
