I remembered the day when we first met you were so busy looking at your surroundings. Your eyes sparkling under the sun as you saw how your dreams came to life. I watched as you stared at the peculiar pink colored sky. The mermaids were swimming in the vast blue ocean waving at you to say hi.
I will never forget how your jaw dropped when you saw the floating pirate ship passing by. You excitedly told me that you wanted to fly so I taught you how. I told you to think of happy thoughts. I did not know what was on your head but I can see the smile forming on your lips and gently your feet floated in the air and since then we became an inseparable pair
We flew past the clouds watch the sunrise and sunset together. We flew just above the ocean the calm waves underneath our fingertips, we were so happy just the two of us.
But it seems that time with you flies so fast, And moments with you was a blur. The next thing I knew, I woke up to see you with another girl and you hurriedly approached me and introduced her. She was so amazed by our own make believe world that she wanted to explore it with you.
Then she wanted to learn how to fly, think of happy thought you told her and gently her feet floated in the air and since then you two became an inseparable pair and I watched down below as you flew past me. Soaring through the skies, watching the rise and set of the sun while I was left behind. You two flew just above the ocean the calm waves underneath your fingertips while I followed behind.
Then one day she wanted to leave, she wanted you to come and give you the home and family that you always dreamed. You stopped for a few moments and those few moments felt like years to me. One look on your face as you turned to me slowly and I know, this is goodbye.
I watched as you too flee. I watched as you disappeared slowly.
I watched as the boy who never grows old found home.
I watched as the boy who never grows old turn into a man then a father.
I just wanted to say thank you for the adventures we shared, the adventures we shared in neverland, the adventures we shared in my dream.
