Cécile's POV
I wake up with a piercing headache. The antique clock on the wall says it's 11. I don't know if it's right or not, but if it is I've been out for 3 hours.
My own father has kidnapped my mother and me. My mom looks over to me and sees that I'm awake.
"You need to do everything he tells you to do. He won't hesitate to hurt you," the fear in her voice makes it tremble. I instantly want to cry. These types of things don't happen to people like me, they only happen in movies.
"Are we going to get out?!" My voice is really high. I try to breathe but a tear slips past.
I hear the door of our basement open, and then I hear something get pushed and the door to the room that we are in opens. My father walks through.
"Stop crying. Or I'll shoot your Mom."
"Aiden, we can get through this! You just have to let us go! We won't tell anyone! It'll be okay!" my mom pleads. Her eyes are wide.
"Shut the hell up, Rose!! You're just an annoying bitch! I'm done with your shit!" He shoots her straight in the forehead with a gun that was on a table by the door.
My cry turns into sobs as I realize what just happened. He turns to me, "STOP CRYING BEFORE I SHOOT YOU TOO!"
I do everything I can to get myself to stop, even just momentarily. He storms out of the room, leaving me sitting there with my mom sitting right across from me, her blood rushing out all over her chair and the floor. I'm shaking like crazy.
After hours of crying, I calm down enough to look around. I take in all the decorations and colors. There's a table by the door, where the gun once laid. When I'm looking around, I see that there isn't anything that could possibly hurt anyone. There's a small sink in the corner, and the floor is covered in hotel-like carpet. I've never seen this room before, not even the door to it.
I pass out in the chair because of how late it is.Morgen's POV (9 P.M.)
I'm sitting here in the hospital, waiting and waiting for Cécile to text me. She was supposed to tell me when she got home, but I haven't heard anything.
I decide to call her mom, and get no answer. So I call her dad. He picks up-
"Hello?" His voice is rough and he doesn't sound too happy to have a caller.
"Is Cécile home??"
"No."
"Is Rose there?"
"Nope. I haven't seen either." He sounds so annoyed.
"Oh. Can you find out where they are???"
"I think if they don't turn up by 10 I'll call the cops to see what they can do. But I don't want to bug them, considering they are people who have jobs to worry about. Just like some of us other people.." It's obvious that he's talking about himself. But what could a security guard be doing at this time?
"Okay. Let me know, bye."
"Bye."
That call didn't help, I'm worried. I think I'm going to go drive around and see if I can take my mind off of it, or see if I can find them. Of anything has happened to Cécile, I'll die. She's my everything.
