Fall All Over Again

Rio placed the cake inside the box carefully right after the twins decorated it with icing. She prepared everything they'll need to surprise her husband in the office. It's their anniversary today. And with the kids helping her bake their dad's favorite cake made it extra special.

"Kids hurry up! We need to go now", she hollered.

"We're coming mom!", Alden descended the stairs in a hurry.

"Oh hey babe, careful. You might fall down. Where's your brother?"

"Almost done... I'm having a hard time tying my shoe laces", RJ went down slowly with dangling shoe laces.

"Oh RJ... what am I gonna do with you? You're already 10 years old and you still can't tie your shoe laces". Rio showed him how to tie it for the nth time. RJ just watched his mom fondly as she tie the laces in knots.

RJ and Alden are identical twins. You really can't determine one from the other except for the dimples. Both have dimples on the left cheek but RJ's dimples is much deeper and prominent compared to Alden's.

"Did you get everything you need?"

"Yeah, we do..."

"Your water bottles? Your face towels and extra shirts?"

"Yep! All here", the twins exclaimed in unison.

"Ok, that's very good. Now go in the car now as I open the gate so we can give daddy his surprise".

Halfway through, Alden asked, "Mom, do you think daddy will like the cake we baked for him?"

"I'm sure he will. It's his all time favorite! And he'll love it even more 'cause you helped me bake it".

RJ and Alden just beamed at their mom.

Rio parked the car in her designated parking lot right beside her husband's car. They were greeted by their employees along the way to the elevator. The twins pressed the elevator button and went in giddily, they can't contain their excitement. As the elevator opened in the 15th floor, the secretary was not at her desk. She thought that it'll be better for them to wait for her husband in his office just in case he's on a meeting. As soon as she opened the door, she got the shock of her life seeing Monica, Richard's secretary sprawled naked on his desk. Rio gasped as her husband paled at the sight of her.

"Shit", Ric whispered and hurriedly zip his fly.

Monica grabbed her clothes to cover herself, flushed and disheveled.

She held her hand out to her side preventing the twins to come in. She pushed them out to spare them from witnessing their father's infidelity. "Kids babe, wait for me outside please", she ordered the twins and her voice trembling. Her eyes not leaving Ric and his mistress.

"Hon, I can explain-", Ric slowly and tentatively approached his wife.

"Explain?! Is there any valid reason why you have to cheat on me?! On our anniversary?!"

"Monica, leave us please."

The secretary was about to go out when Rio slapped her. She tried to keep her tears at bay and Monica sobbed in front of her holding her burning cheeks. "I'm so sorry Ms. Rio, I didn't mean to-"

Slap! Rio slapped her again so hard that she got toppled to the floor.

"I'm filing for a divorce. I'm taking the kids with me", her voice calm and firm. Rio knew that her husband had a mistress but she never really expected to catch him red handed after all this time.
