"Come on let's go," I laugh, looking at the worn out jack that stands before me.
He shoots me a death stare. I give him a gently punch on the shoulder with a smile and he leaves the room.
"Hey, it's just karma!" I chuckle.
"Let's just go," he says attempting to calm down.
I put on a serious face, turn around, and let out all my excitement as I lock up.
We head down to the hall where our graduation is taking place, everyone is already there sat down.
"And next up William Anderson!" The headmaster shouts.
I freeze, people look at me.
"See you in a sec," I whisper to Jack.
He gives me a pat on the back. I put on a smile, and walk up to the podium in confidence.
The head master gives me a stern look and shakes my hand, throws and award in my hand.
"Give a speech," he whispers furiously.
I look around with my eyes bulging out, he walks off stage.
I walk up to the microphone.
I clear my throat.
I look around the room to the keen faces and the faces that have already had enough.
"Wow!" I say empty minded.
"It feels like only yesterday I was sat on the carpet smashing my two toy cars together in kindergarten; we've all come so far since then, and I can happily say I'm proud of them... most of them, you always have that wooden plank that does nothing" I say attempting a calm voice.
About a quarter of the crowd laugh, which comforts me slightly.
"Everyone remembers the first time they get drunk right? The room just seems so spin round," I ask.
There's a couple of nods in the crowd.
"Well honestly that how I feel right now, the whole rooms just spinning, I only just found out, I haven't prepared, just kinda winging it," I say with a smile; no one laughs.
"I have to admit though I couldn't of made it without my 2 friends," I say really deeply.
There's a couple of awh's in the crowd, jack and Charlotte look up at me and smile.
"Yeah, well copy and paste have supported me so much!" I say, everyone laughs, except the teachers.
"To everyone who has successfully graduated today; congratulations! You all have your whole lives ahead of you, the fun part is already over, but there's still the exploration to do! I know you will all archive success! I'm going to miss you all and I can't wait to see you in Tesco with your family! Once again, congratulations!" I end with a smile.
They nearly all clapped, some even gave a standing ovation.
"At least I changed their moods," I whisper to myself.
I go to take a seat next to jack, more names are called out and the crowd basically falls back too sleep.

"Good speech bro," jack said as we walked out the hall.
"Yeah really good!" Charlotte agreed with slightly more enthusiasm.
"I hate on the spot speeches!" I sighed.
"Well it was good so give yourself a pat on the back," Charlotte laughed.
All of a sudden, I feel a huge lump spring on my back and wrap itself around me like a koala.
"That was amazing!" Janet screamed in my ear kissing me on the cheek.
"Thanks!" I blush.
"How are you two not going out yet," Charlotte says.
Me and Janet fall silent but Charlotte and Jack begin to laugh.
"Hey, I though you were at that modelling interview for the sun?" I asked.
"Yeah but I cancelled, this was way more important!" She says with joy.
I stop. She gets off my back.
"You what!" I say angrily.
"I cancelled," she said innocently.
"Why! This was supposed to be an amazing opportunity for you! This could've been your future!" I say still angry.
"I-I-I'm sorry," she stuttered.
"When does it start?" I ask.
She checks her watch.
"15 minutes, but we won't make it," she said disappointed.
Charlotte, Jack and I all look at each other. We all nod.
I grab Janet's hand and we all sprint towards Jacks old vintage Range Rover discovery.
"I don't have my clothes!" Janet shouts.
"I've got you covered!" Charlotte shouts back.
We all jump in the car, Charlotte hands Janet a bag with a beautiful black laced dress.
Janet begin to get dressed while Charlotte helps do her makeup, Jack speeds down all the country lanes to get there, and I help her get changed and zip her up.
Jack hits the breaks and the car comes to an immediate stop.
There's a moment of silence in the car, no one moves.
"GO! GO! GO!" Jack shouts.
Janet runs out and into the tall modern mansion that stands before us.
We all wait in the car until she comes back as we're not allowed to enter the interview.
"Wow!" I say, wiping sweat off my face.
We all sit back and take time to breathe.
Deep in thought I sat there.
Then I leaned forward.
"How do I ask her out?" I ask.
They both grin at me.
"Look I know it's completely insane, but I'm madly in love with her!" I confess.
"You don't say!" Jack says with no enthusiasm.
Charlotte slaps his shoulder gently.
"If you want to ask her out like a gentleman you should ask her dad first, let him know, see if he accepts you," Charlotte says.
I think about doing it but I can't imagine it, then a grin finds my face.
"How long till the interview finishes?" I smirk.
They both smile neither of them answer my question, instead Jack hits the road again.
