I know it's been awhile but I'm gonna try to keep this story going.
__

I wake up from my nap and look around the room, rubbing my eyes.
"Beth?" I croak. I yawn and stand up and look around the room.

"Beth? are you here?" I say as my voice echoes throughout the empty house.

All of a sudden the door swings open.

"EM OH MY GOD" she screams at me.

"What?!" I say.

"Your parents!! They are hanging flyers and contacting the police saying you are missing! Heck your gonna be on the news soon if they don't find you in the next 48 hours!" She says.

"What! Oh my gosh this is not happening!" I shout in fear.

"They came over to the house when you were sleeping and asked me if I knew where you were, I said no. Then they asked if I could help look for you so I said yes and we walked all over town asking people if they've seen you!"

"Oh my fucking god! Now how am I supposed to go out and look for my parents? I can't step foot outside with posters saying I'm missing!"

Fuck. This ruins everything.

"Idk Em. But you better think fast before you go on the news and people will see your face all over California."

"So basically, I have 48 hours to get out of this town, find my real parents, and prove that my fake parents are actual kidnappers. How the fuck am I supposed to do that alone!" I shout.

"Your not alone. I'll help you. We can use my car." She says & instantly a huge weight falls off my shoulders.

"Really? thank you so much Beth. This is why your my best friend! but what will you tell your mom ?" I ask.

"I'll tell her that I'm going to my dads over the weekend I guess." She says.

"I'm pretty sure the weekend isn't enough." I say doubting her plan.

"Well we can think of something when that time comes. If we're going thru with this then we need to get going ASAP." She says.

"Ok. I'll get my stuff." I say.

I walk into the room and grab my backpack. I don't have a plan on how to find my parents, but I don't have time to think about that right now. I walk out of the room and I hear Beth calling her mom telling her that she is going to her dads.

I take a deep breath as Beth hangs up the phone and looks at me.

"You ready?" she asks.

"I think so."

Just then we hear a loud banging on the door.

"POLICE! OPEN UP!"
