"C-Caleb" I say widening my eyes

"That's my name" Caleb says grinning. I step out to shut the door so that I am standing outside with Caleb.

"What are you doing here?" I ask giving him a quick hug

"What? I can't say hi to you"

I grin "well I mean you left two years ago to go to a high school and college in Nevada"

Caleb smirks "well I figured you'd be here for Christmas, I also though a quick hello would suit us with me being in town"

I breathe out slowly "I want to invite you in... just don't say anything stupid to the company"

Caleb raises an eyebrow "boyfrie-"

I cut him off while opening the door "single as a Pringle"

"Salty like one too" Caleb mumbles and I slap him on the arm.

For anyone that doesn't know Caleb had been my friend before he moved away. We had always gotten into fights but I have to say.. I missed him when he was gone. He also doesn't look like the little 16 years old Caleb who got his drivers license. I have to say, Caleb changed and I hope he's still got one of my best friends in him.

Bradley pulls me into another room "okay I haven't lost my temper yet" he blows out air and then grits his teeth "please tell me I am having deja vu when I think I just saw a Gonzalez"

"Um" I back away but Bradley pushes me against a wall. I throw my hand up in the air "YES YOU SAW A GONZALEZ STOP FREAKING OUT"

"He's bad news" Brad mumbles

"SO WHERE YOU" I pause "And you might still be bad news... listen don't act like you own me and enjoy your time here, your going to need to trust harder if you want me to trust you"

With that being said I walk away from him, I wasn't going to afforded Bradley screaming at me like he always does. Ugh it annoys the Crap out of me, doesn't Bradley know how to control his anger.

"Hey mom, hey Caleb" I say smiling when I walk into the kitchen to see all the food across the table.

"Where's your father and Bradley?" My moms asks

"Dad said he'd be late at work and Bradley... I don't even know anymore" I say putting my head into my hands.

"He's blowing off the steam he should have blown off years ago" Caleb comments

I smirk at Caleb comment but just stare down at the table seeing Brad approach.

"Thanks again Mrs M for all the food and letting me stay over"

"Your welcome Bradley but you guys should have rough Andrea!"

I laugh "she and her parents when to Brazil for the break"

"AND THEY DIDNT INVITE ME" my mom protects

We all just laugh and finish eating.

I am currently stepping out of shower and changing outfits. I threw on a pair Black ripped jeans, a campus t-shirt and paired that with my white converse. I dryer my hair and threw it up into french braids.

I had a lot to think over, Bradley was back to having temper and I had to deal with the lost time between Caleb. I don't want to even mention then two fighting all the time.

I locked my bedroom door and allowed myself to sit there alone and think. If Caleb wasn't here then Bradley wouldn't get mad but if Bradley wasn't here Caleb probably would have left without a second glance at me like usual.

It was like a maze, if you take away part of the maze then you can't find the end and if you add another part to the move then your trapped in. I was stuck in the middle of this maze and it's like I can't figure out which way to turn.

I end up walking down stairs to help my mom with the dishes. Caleb went to go do something with his parents and apparently Bradley was walking our dog.

"Hayley?" My mom asks

"Yes?"

"Here take this sweatshirt" it was one of my favorite sweatshirts of Brads "He said meet him by the river"

"But it's freezing and dark"

My mom chuckles "hints why he gave you the sweatshirt plus you have the flashlight on your phone"

"He's so stubborn"

My mom laughs "go on, just go it can't be bad if he is making sure you have to go"

I roll my eyes and head out the door.

I cross my arms across my chest while walking as the chilled wind broke through the sweatshirt finding a place to cause goosebumps on my arms. Then I finally hit the spot seeing a picnic blanket spread out with white pillows all over it and rope lights that lit up the trees. I-It looked like the top of my building.

"Welcome Hayley"

"Bradley.. what are you doing out here?"

"Nothing"

I narrow my eyes and sit next to him "well it definitely looks like something"

We lay out on the blanket watching the stars.

"Brad?"I question

"Hmm"

"What are you going to do when we leave college...like about your dad"

"I don't know" he pauses "probably the same thing I've done for years"

"But your going to get killed"

"What do you suggest then?"

"I don't know" I say "but I can't let you die..."

"I can say the same for you"

I feel a smile perk up on my lips. We watch the stars for a little longer.

"Hey" I point up at the sky "it's a comet"

Brad follows the comet with his eyes while petting our puppy "that comet has a name you know... it's Haileys comet"

I smirk "there's a comet that has my name"

"It sure does" he looks at our puppy "I have a puppy name suggestion"

"What?"

"We could name her comet but like comette"

"That's cute"

"That way its Hayley's comette"

My smile grows "you know Mathis, that's the sweetest thing I've heard you say"

"I'm not all temper"

"I see I see"
