Brendon started to cry as he ran to put clothes on and grab his keys while calling 911 to get to Ryan.
"Please leave a messa-"
Ryan's phone was off, and he was probably getting hurt.
"Please leave a messa-"
Brendon sped up to 70 instead of 60.
"Please leave a messa-"
As he felt his eyes tear up, Brendon wiped his eyes with his sleeve.
"Please leave a messa-"
Eventually he gave up.
"911 what's your emergency?"
"Hi, I'm pretty sure my ex is getting abused by his boyfriend."
It was clear that he was crying even over the phone.
"Do you know the address?"
"Yes, um it's, um, 375 honeyblossom st."
"Okay, we'll send a squad car on our way."
"Thank you so much."
He kept driving and eventually made it the same time the cops came.
"What evidence do you have that she is getting abused?"
"He called me and told me."
"Sorry."
After 10 minutes, Brendon couldn't take it anymore and he was getting impatient.
"Why are we just sitting out here when you could be arresting this guy?"
"Sir, I have to ask you to sit down."
Brendon just wanted Ryan.
"No! I can't sit down, the love of my life is probably in there getting abused and you're sitting here doing nothing about it!"
Brendon got so upset that he put his hands on the cop.
"Sir! Hands above your head right now."
"No! You can't focus on me, my Ry is getting hurt! Save him!"
They put the cuffs on Brendon and had him sit in the back of the squad car for another 20 minutes. When the cop came back, Brendon started to cry.
"I'm sorry sir, but this man wasn't getting abused."
"Ryan wouldn't lie to me about that!"
"Maybe you heard something else?"
"No! I've met his boyfriend and he'a an asshole."
"Please don't use any profanity."
"No! GOD FUCKING DAMN IT! MY MOTHER FUCKING RY IS GETTING ABUSED AND YOU GUYS DON'T GIVE A SHIT FUCK ALL OF YOU GUYS!"
"Sir, I'm afraid we're gonna have to take you to a hospital."
"NO YOU CANT TAKE ME THERE!"
"It's mandatory in your situation."
"RYAN ROSS I LOVE YOU!"
As the cop car left the neighborhood, Ryan looked outside the window and watched with a single tear falling down his cheek.
