A/N~ I realised something. When you see no one reading your book, you lose the will for writing.
Part c of chapter 1-enjoy!
PS- in case you are wondering, X is a nickname of a boy. And he may or may not be the male
protagonist.... 😉

With slow, unsure steps Mariya walked towards her First Class. The hallways were so big, like a maze, that one could easily get lost.
Using her school app, she had downloaded, she found her classroom after a few minutes.
She stood before the opaque glass doors, when suddenly they opened wide.
They were automatic!
She waited for the teacher to call her in.
The teacher, seeing her smiled and told her to come inside.
She was a lady of thirty something, her hair tied up in a bun, wearing a simple blouse and pencil skirt.
Mariya walked into the class, her gaze kept low.
She could hear voices. Girls gossiping and chatting.
Boys either talking about a new video game, or some random models. The class hardly paid attention to the new girl.
And Mariya was absolutely fine with it.
Stay like a wall, hidden.
Don't attract any attention.
With a bright and cheery voice the teacher spoke, "class, greet your new class mate! "
A hush fell over the class.
Now every eyes were on her. The boys looked at her with a new interest, and the girls gazed at her critically.
Mariya's hope of staying hidden completely shattered.
"introduce yourself please. "
Advised the teacher.
She turned towards the class and whispered softly, "I am Mariya Waters. Nice to meet you all. "
The teacher noticing her distress, quickly added, " why don't you take a seat! The class had just begun. "
She hurried towards an empty seat, at the back of the class, not looking at the thirty pairs of eyes, that judged her from top to bottom.
As soon as she was seated, Mrs. Moore began to write some sums on the board.
Mariya was completely engrossed in maths, when suddenly a paper ball landed on her desk.
Opening the deformed piece of paper, she read it's contents -'x'?
As in maths? Or an alphabet?
Or a nick name maybe.
She stared at the paper for a long time. It didn't make sense.
Who was this 'X'?
Why was the paper thrown to her?
She was busy in contemplating about this 'X' when the girl sitting at her left whisper- shouted, " Hey new girl! It's not for you, pass it to the girl sitting at your right. "
Then it hit her.
The paper was given to her to pass it to the next student. She
Quickly crippled it, and passed it to the next girl.
She waited for her reaction.
The girl quickly opened it and her hand flew over her mouth as soon as she read the note.
What's all this?
Then she slowly observed her surroundings.
The whole class was whispering excitedly about the information. What ever the news was, it had spreaded like a wild fire.
Mariya was utterly confused, and bewildered by the sudden change in atmosphere.
~•~Diana Tennesley observed her black matte nails warily.
It was a new Vogue. But somehow she didn't like it. Maybe the shade of the black was not that bright to be matte.
She quickly texted her mom, to bring a new one, two shades brighter. Suddenly Miranda barged into their playroom, breathing heavily.
The news must be hot.
"there's a new girl, in section B. " Miranda spoke.
So the rumours were true.
She tried to remember all the things she had heard in the hallway.
Did you see the new girl?
A new student in the middle of the year?
She looked like a bunny, so scared and terrified that she was shaking terribly.
The new girl. In the middle of the session?
Now that was new.
She got up, and straightened her school skirt.
She told Miranda, " you know what to do, Mi. Go and approach the girl"
Miranda quickly nodded, and again ran out of their playroom.
She smirked.
It was time to show, who was the queen here.
