*TIMESKIP TO THE PARTY TIME*
I came back out to recollect the sticks I found earlier. I then hear a song I like playing at the party. I dance for a little bit, I used to dance to this song alot. I can't help but smile. I close my eyes, preforming the dance moves I haven't done in a while.
I open my eyes and see Poppy staring at me in awe. I gasp and drop my sticks, quickly bending down to pick them up. Once I look up, she's smirking at me, and she victoriously turns back to her crowd. "Pfft." I say walking off.
Once I'm back to my bunker, I put my sticks on the small table and I grab out my invitation from Poppy and quickly fix it. It was easy to fix because I made sure not to break it too much. Once it's fixed, I set it on the table and just stared at it, it's annoying song playing.
I start to think of Poppy. Her beautiful pink eyes, her sparkly cheeks, her pink skin, her glowing pink hair, her bright smile. Her beautiful personality. The way she can make me feel--
My thoughts are cut off when I hear knocking and Poppy calling my name. Probably to force me to go to her party. I run and try to force her invitation in a cubby when the rest come spilling out, all of them shouting my name. I hastily stuff it all back in, hoping none of them are damaged. I then close the little purple curtain.
"Branch! Branch! Branch! BRANCH ARE YOU IN THERE!" Poppy yells to a rock, making me almost laugh. I open the little slit in my doormat. "I'm not going to your party!" I hiss at her. "The party is over, we just got attacked by a Bergen!" She hissed back.
"I knew it!" I say, opening the doormat and dragging Poppy inside. I make sure all my traps are set, because the Bergen could be coming at any moment! Poppy and I sit by each other in silence. "Branch I--"
"Shh!"
"But Branch I--"
"SHH! SHH!"
Poppy raises her hand. "What?! What could be so important that it's worth leading the Bergen right to us?!" I hiss at her."The Bergen is gone!" She argued.
"You don't know that! It could be standing outside! Watching! Waiting!" My eyes widened and my voice dropped to a whisper. "Listening!
"The Bergen is gone!" Poppy said, standing. "It took Satin, and Chanille, and Fuzzbert, and Smidge, and Biggie, and Cooper, and DJ, and Guy Diamond, AND CREEK!" She cries the last part. I really could care less about Cring-- I mean Creek. I grunt after she says Creep.
"So that's why I'm asking," She looked down then at me. "Will you go to Bergen town with me to save everybody?" She asked really fast. "What? No!" I reply, glaring at her.
"But their your friends!" She said forcefully at me. "Ah ah ahh! There your friends!" I say, shaking my finger smugly in her face. "Oh great! You're the only troll that knows alot about Bergens, but once we need you, you want to hide here forever!" She says exasperation.
"Forever? Pfft no," I toggle the switch and we start going down on the elevator. "I only have enough provisions to last me ten years. Eleven if I'm willing to drink my own sweat." I snapped my head to Poppy. "Which I am!" I say seriously.
"You all called me crazy, but look who's crazy now. Me." I look at Poppy for her reaction. "Crazy prepared." I say with a smirk. I place the sticks where they belong while Poppy's talking. "I'm sorry, I should have listened, you told me not to throw the party, I threw it anyway, it's all my fault and now I don't know what to do!" She said, looking at me.
"Maybe you can try scrapbooking them to freedom." I reply, smirking at her. "Solid burn, Branch." She replied, raising her eyebrows amused. "Welp, thanks for every thing Branch." She continued. "Aye anytime Poppy, see you in ten years." I reply, watching her go up.
Once I know she's up, I sigh sadly, wishing to myself that my crush didn't leave. But she's been in my bunker for about 5 minutes at least. Just that thought makes my heart flutter. Suddenly, Poppy reappears. "Hey Branch, mind if I borrow something?" She asks innocently.
I sigh. "What?" I ask. "Your bunker!" She beamed. "What?" I ask, confused. "Alrighty everyone in!" She yells, and I watch in horror as tons of trolls start flooding my bunker. I can hear glasses breaking, kids laughing, and trolls cheering.
I walked until I found Poppy. "Poppy?" I asked her heatedly. She smirks. "You said that you have enough provisions to last for ten years." "To last me ten years! Me!" I pointed to myself. "Well I guess I better hurry then!" She said confidently. "You won't last a day out there!" I retort. "You won't last a day in here." She gestured to all the trolls in the bunker.
"Solid burn, returned." She smirked, confident.
I won't let her do this alone, I try to stop her but by the time I'm at the front to stop her, "Good bye everybody!" She yells. She then pulls the lever. "HUG TIME!"
