The whole weekend Michelle had expected Michael to try and talk with her. To make up with her. The more time passed he hadn’t the madder she got. So at school on Monday Michelle had ever intention of making him feel worse. How dare he!
Sitting in homeroom everyone filed in and sat down. Tom and April were thick as thieves, Lisa was smiling to herself. Michael, never showed up. Michelle’s like. Whatever. That night, no Michael to come bug her. Michelle’s even more pissed. Not a sound all weekend, not in school today. Stupid jerk she thinks. Two days pass and no Michael in school or home to bug her. Now Michelle is lived upon livid at him. The least he could do is let some one know he is okay. Stupid ass Michael.
At home that night. Five days no Michael. Michelle thinks, Stupid jerk, I wasted all these years being his friend then we are 17 and then he kisss me and let’s me think that maybe we are more or what was it anyway. Sex? No, I I don’t think so but seeing his kiss Lisa the walking sperm receptical, who knows. I bet he fucked her. Figures and dog in heat. She lays on her bed and the tears begin to fall. When suddenly she hears a thud and a groan outside her window.
Michelle; WTF is that? Going to her window she sees a figure on the ground but too dark to see who it is. She opens the window for a better look. The figure is covered in blood. She freaks a bit. On closer look she realizes, and her eyes widen, it’s…..MICHAEL!!!
Jumping out the window, Michelle gets down next to Michael. He’s hurt badly. Now she is scared. Her parents are traveling for work so she is home alone. Michael she caresses his face. He can barely open his eyes looks at her and says,

Michelle is stunned at his words. He loves her? How does he love her. Friend? Sister? Boyfriend? Sighing, she gets Michael up and somehow gets him in the house. She lays him on her bed, gets him some clothes. Cleans him up, treats his cuts and bruises and see’s he has a knife wound. This scares her and she does her best to care for him. Michael is feverish and has chills. Michelle covers him up with a blanket lays next to him and falls asleep. Michael mumbles all night. No, don’t. I didn’t see anything I. Michelle…. Come back baby… I love you…. Stay with me….Lisa is nothing. My fault …but I don’ t.. love her. Want my ….best friend. ….I’m in love …..with my …..best friend….I didn’t see…. Don’t kill me…. I just……nnooooooooo……..Michael finally quieted in the pre dawn hours as his fever raged un.
THE NEXT MORNING…..
Michelle had fallen asleep laying next to Michael. It wasn’t as if they had not done this many times growing up. Nothing ever happened. They were best friends and didn’t see each other that way until recently. Still, Michael was into Lisa so no biggie. She’s only here to help him. Michael was still feverish and sleeping sort off. Michelle started to get off the bed slowly as not to wake Michael. Suddenly…..
