The team arrived at the site. There in front of the cave was a young woman. She had blond hair that almost looked white and was wearing a pretty blue dress.

"Hello. You must be our client." Erza said politely. The woman nodded.

"My name is Kia. I work with a special company of people that search caves like these for historical artifacts. It is just me today. I was hoping that you could help me look for a certain stone. There is a legend that an ancient magic stone is in this very cave. I'm just here to investigate." She said. Erza looked at the cave.

"Is there anything else we need to know?" She asked. Kia shook her head. "Well, it looks like there are 3 paths so let's split into groups. Natsu, Lucy, and Happy. You will go into the left path. Juvia and Gray. You will go in the right path. I will go with Kia." Juvia screamed in excitement.

"I'M GOING WITH GRAY-SAMA!" With that, she dragged a struggling Gray down the path they were assigned. Then, everyone else separated.

Natsu's team walked through the dark cave. Natsu was holding his hand out to use as a light source.

"So, what's the plan?" Lucy asked suddenly.

"Well, how about we just keep walking until we find something?" Happy answered. Lucy face-palmed.

"That's a great idea......stupid cat." They kept walking for what seemed like hours. Then, the reached an open area in the cave. The ceiling was higher and the walls were farther apart. Smack dab in the middle was a pedestal and on it was a small blue stone with red and orange cracks in it. Lucy grinned.

"We're gonna get some money! We're gonna get some money!" She jumped around like a psychopath.

"You know Lucy, you look really creepy with that grin on your face." Lucy instantly stopped.

"Shut up! Fish Breath!" Happy burst out laughing. Lucy walked over to the pedestal.

"Let's just get this stupid stone and get our reward." Lucy bent down and touched the stone.

"No! Don't touch i-" Kia said, as she ran in with Erza. The room started rumbling. Lucy began to glow a bright golden color.

"Uhhh....What the heck is happening?!" She said. Natsu just stood there in shock. Lucy's eyes were glossed over with gold as well. Her face expressed what one would describe as pure fear.

"Lucy!" Natsu yelled, putting out the fire in his hand. The only light in the cave was Lucy. Suddenly, the light vanished and Lucy hit the ground hard. She was unconscious. "Lucy! Lucy!!! Come on! Get up!" Natsu pleaded. He was shaking her back and forth. Erza came over and pushed him away.

"Don't shake her stupid! She might have a concussion or something! We need to get her back to the guild hall." Kia came running over.

"I am so sorry! I will give you the full reward. You found the stone. I thank you and am in your debt. Now let me help her. I can use my magic to wake her up." Kia put her hands over Lucy and a purple aura appeared around them. Lucy instantly woke up.

"W-what the heck just happened?!" Lucy said. Natsu helped her up as she rubbed her head. Kia thought for a moment.

"Well, for one you shouldn't have touched the stone with your bare hands. It's a magical artifact. Who knows what it does if you touch it. You might be dead in less than 24 hours though it is highly unlikely." Natsu's eyes widened.

"So you're not going to try and help her?! What the heck? She could die?!" Gray interrupted him.

"Yo Flame-Brain, let her speak and explain what could happen." Natsu and Gray started fighting.

"What did you call me, Ice Cube?"
Natsu said, butting heads with Gray.

"I said shut up for once, you idiotic chili pepper." Erza grabbed both of them by their hair and lifted them up.

"You're not fighting are you?" Both of them shook their heads as Erza threw them back down on the ground.

"Anyways, your friend here is probably not going to die. For most magical artifacts, people usually die right after they touch it. It's highly unlikely." Kia said. Lucy sighed in relief.

"So what are we going to do then? Just leave her be?" Happy asked her. Kia nodded.

"Although, please contact me if anything happens. I would like to know the stone does." Everyone nodded and headed out of the cave. Kia gave them the reward and headed back to her headquarters.

"What a respectable young woman. I hope we meet again." Erza said, watching Kia walk away. Everyone started heading back to the guild. Until it got dark. Instead of making a camp, they stayed in the house that belonged to Blue Pegasus.

"Hey guys, I'm gonna get some shuteye. I feel really weak." Lucy said. Everyone nodded. Happy snuggled up  next to Lucy and fell asleep too.

"You know, every since Lucy has joined the guild, Happy has really gotten along with her. It's like they have been friends their whole lives. The same thing with Natsu too." Gray whispered to Erza and Juvia. They agreed.

"Juvia you haven't been talking much. What's the matter?" Ezra asked her. She looked up confused and then answered.

"Oh, it's nothing. I just have this weird feeling. Every time before a storm happens, I always get a tingly feeling in my feet. This never happened when I was with Phantom Lord. I mean it rained all the time around me." Gray thought for a moment.

"Huh, must have something to do with being a water mage. Guess we should watch for storm clouds tomorrow." Juvia lied down and fell asleep on a blanket on the wood floor. Gray and Erza did the same.

Natsu couldn't sleep. He couldn't help thinking about what would happen to Lucy.

"That rock had to have done something. But what?" He said quietly. Meanwhile, Lucy suddenly woke up from pain in her arm. She leaned up, carefully trying not to wake Happy, and looked at her arm. It had a red rash on it. A very bad one too. Instead of itching, it burned. She got up from the ground and went to get some ice or something cold from the kitchen.

Lucy quietly looked through the small freezer. There was a bag of frozen peas so she used it.

"Whatcha up to?" She jumped and looked behind her. Natsu stood in the doorway with his arms and legs crossed. She hid her arm behind her back and closed the freezer.

"Oh hey Natsu! Jeez you scared me!" He rolled his eyes and walked over to her. Taking her arm is his hand, he pulled up the sleeve. He gasped.

"Lucy! What in the world is this? Please don't tell me this is from the stone...." She shook her head nervously. Natsu made a 'I know you're lying' face. He touched it and she flinched.

"Stop it! That hurts!" She whispered. Lucy put the peas on top of it and instantly regretted it. She yelped. She took the peas off of her arm and there was a hole burnt into the bag. Natsu's eyes widened.

"Woah! What the heck?! Is it that hot? Cooolllll!" Lucy sweat dropped.

"You are so childish!" She stomped back into the room everyone was sleeping in. Natsu followed. Lucy lied down on her blanket and held her arm. She fell asleep. Natsu looked at her for a little while, worriedly. Let's hope this is the worst that happens.
