Finding yourself in a bar, as a hunter, who was in a relationship with none other than the one and only Dean Winchester; was totally normal. Whether you were on a hunt, or just getting out of the bunker for a few hours, the eldest Winchester never passed an opportunity to go out and grab a drink.
Tonight was no different. You were working a case with Sam and Dean; you all got bored and frustrated whenever research was just leading towards dead ends. That’s how you found yourself at this bar. You were sitting in a booth with the boys, Sam next to you with a beer and his closed laptop. Dean across from you with a glass of bourbon he hadn’t really been paying much attention to; and you sat directly across from Dean. You were feeling little out of the box this evening and had opted for a margarita.
The three of you felt slightly out of place at this bar, it was a bit more upscale than usual. It wasn’t smelly, or grimey. There wasn’t mold on the walls or old creeps in the corner. If anything, you and the boys were the creeps, in this place anyway. It was a more relaxed atmosphere than what you all were used to, there was green ambient lighting that made everyone look like they were getting ready to get sick. You did however enjoy the lack of cockroaches.
You sat there in an oversized t-shirt and jeans, your converse tapping on the floor to the upbeat song that was playing. Dean was wearing his usual three layers of clothing, complete with the same old boots he normally wore while he stared into his glass. Sam paid no mind to his surroundings as he had reopened his computer and began typing away. Eventually your foot tapped on Dean’s leg, rubbing it slightly under the table.
Dean looked up at you and smiled, finding you much prettier to look at than the amber colored liquid in his glass.
“I’m gonna go, I think I’m starting to get somewhere.” Sam said as he closed his laptop. You stood up to let him out of the booth, sitting back down once he’d gotten up.
“You need any help?” you asked him as you held your drink to your lips, licking the salt off of the rim before sipping.
“No. I’ll call if I need you guys.” You and Dean nodded as Sam walked off. The motel you all had been staying at was only a five minute walk from this bar, so Dean didn’t drive.
As your eyes travelled from Sam exiting the bar, back towards your boyfriend, you caught sight of a pretty blonde woman; eyeing Dean. You’d have been lying if you tried to say that she was prettier than you. You were pretty confident in yourself. Besides, you weren’t sure if it was the puke green lighting or the way she did her makeup, but she just looked like she’d used forest green eyeshadow and contoured her face three times.
You chuckled to yourself as you took another sip of your drink. You caught Dean looking over at the woman as he noticed her, but looked away quickly. It irritated you how women always found it necessary to make a move on your man.
You rolled your eyes when you saw her start to walk over. You sat your glass down, ready to knock her to the side if necessary. She might have thought you were with Sam, since you had been sitting next to him. Dean looked up when the woman walked up to him.
“Can I help you?” He asked. You tensed up just from watching the interaction.
“You sure can-” her entire demeanor was suggestive. She leaned down, resting her arms on the table and pushing her breasts up. It was a busy bar, it’s not like she couldn’t go find someone else.
“Sorry sweetheart, I don’t think my girlfriend here would like that very much.” He motioned for her to look at you as you felt his food touch yours under the table reassuringly.
You flashed her a fake smile as she noticed you for the first time. Her shoulders slumped as she stood back up and walked off, embarrassed. You leaned your head back on the seat for a minute before finishing your drink and standing up. You grabbed your jacket and made your way for the door.
Dean may have handled that just the way that any girl would’ve hoped for, but he was always getting hit on. Women always went after him. Not that you could blame them, the man was eye candy. But it was as if you were invisible, like the other women couldn’t even see you; and when they did, they thought that you were Dean’s sister. Which was even more infuriating.
“Y/N!” you heard Dean call out from behind you, but you had already started walking away.
When you got down the road a bit, you put your jacket on, it was autumn, and it was getting chilly out. You were walking in the direction of your motel. You heard Dean behind you a ways, trying to get your attention, but you just opted for ignoring him.
“Dammit Y/N, if you make me run to catch up to you-” he shouted while running to catch up to you, ironically.
You stopped walking and spun around, crossing your arms, just as he began to catch up.
“What’s wrong?” he asked.
You shrugged, “It’s just frustrating when your boyfriend’s a chick magnet-” you threw your arms up in the air- “And they never seem to notice me! I could he sitting on your dick and they would still think I’m your sister.”
Dean sighed as he stepped closer to you, rubbing your upper arms before taking you into a hug. You turned in his arms so that he just had one arm around your shoulder, and you started to walk together.
“You’re absolutely beautiful, Y/N.” You smiled slightly as you leaned into him even more, still not feeling the greatest about yourself.
“It’s just,” you started, “there’s prettier and skinnier girls out there and they all seem to want you.”
Dean stopped walking and tugged on your arm so that you’d face him.
“That’s just it, Y/N. They’re all just girls-” he started, bringing a hand to your chin so that you’d look up at him- “You are a beautiful woman. A strong beautiful woman and you’re the only one that I’m ever gonna want.”
“You really mean that?”
“Yes. Of course I do.” He said as he leaned down to kiss you. You could never get tired of kissing him. It was like heaven.
“I love you.” You whispered as you smiled against his lips.
“I love you too, baby girl-” you pulled away from him and the two of you began walking again, he laced his fingers with yours as you both continued onto your motel- “and I plan on loving you forever.”
You blushed as you looked over at him and smiled. You had nothing to worry about.
