Part 4

Will Solace

I walk up the path as I was told too. I still can't believe my life right now. I can't tell Nico, he wouldn't understand. I wish I could tell him, yet I don't want him to hate me.

I've always liked Nico a bit more than normal, yet I can't bring myself to believe these feelings are real. It's just a phase. Yet why does a phase last for two years? I know I should just admit it, but I can't, not yet. Not with so much going on with my life.

Nico Di Angelo

I walk earlier than I usually do, to make sure Will doesn't see me walking this way. It's weird, being careful of someone I trust with my life from finding me. It doesn't feel right. I see the school gate through the small amounts of students, and head to form. (Not sure how American schools work lmao)

Will Solace

I head to form where Nico sits next to me. He's quiet, quieter than usual.

"I heard your father past away, I'm so sorry." He says, without looking me in the eyes.

"Yeah he did." I start, worried I'm going to lose my head if I carry on.

"Want me to leave you alone for a bit?" He says, his voice slightly playful. This is weird.

"N-no I'm fine, I didn't really know him that well."

"Guess we're both orphans now." He says as he turns, his face, which hardly ever shows emotion in a frown, as if he wanted to feel sorry for me, but he couldn't.

Nico Di Angelo

The bell rings for us to go home, and I walk down the path, not even bothered if Will sees me anymore.

"Nico, we've got another request." Matt says, using my real name as Will isn't around.

"Where about?" I ask, we've been getting a lot of requests near us so I don't know what to expect.

"Around an hour away if the traffics good, you can bring light for experience if you want, not saying that if the guys dangerous he's gonna live." Matt laughs halfheartedly as Will walks through the door.

"I light, you've got a mask in your room! Go put it on we've got a request."

Will rushes to his room while I put my mask on, he looks scared, reminding me of myself from a few years ago. When I realised my powers. When I became a murderer.

Will's mask is white and has a golden sun smiling creepily with music notes around his eyes, making them seem darker, making his eyes standout even more.

"Thank you for getting my room ready." Will says to Matt, sounding quite grateful.

"Haha it's fine, just get in the van, we'll be there in a minute." Matt says as he waves Will out of the room. "So that's Will then." Matt says bluntly as my face blushes under my dark mask.

"Y-yeah, I don't know what happened to his family, he never talked to me about it at school, I just thought he was happy, I never thought he could become the next murderer." I don't know whether it upsets me that he's come here, or whether it makes me happy that I'm not alone, that someone else was feeling what I was thinking.

"Let's head to the van then before Will wonders where we are." Matt says as we begin walking out if the backdoor to the van.
