The Squad

Skipper had fallen asleep, her head resting on her pillow and light snores escaping her mouth.

The rest of the group quietly conversed as the credits played through on the TV, the Star Wars theme playing in the background.

"One: She didn't get super hyper, try to make popcorn and hoard it all, or scream the songs aloud along with random quotes." Said Ryft softly, glancing at Skipper occasionally. "And two: she never falls asleep during moves, especially ones she likes."

"Who do you think it is, Mystique?" Asked Raven.

"Baby?" Piped up Spark. All eyes were on Skipper again.

"Why would Baby be pretending to be Skipper? And where is Skipper?" Hissed Stephanie.

Since no one had a good answer, silence followed.

"How do we test it?" whispered Ryft.

"Ask her a question only Skipper could answer?" suggested Spark.

"What only could Skipper answer?" asked Travis.

"I got this." hised Ryft.

The group contenued their Star Wars binge, untill Skipper woke up.

"Hey Skipper, random question," said Ryft, acting casual. "But do you remember what Temperace's favorite animal was?"

Skipper froze, her eyes widening in horror. All eyes were now on her, and instantly recognized that this was now how Skipper would react.

"Yup. I think Spark was right." said Ivy, leaning back. 

"I can't believe that after 10 months we finally realized!" laughed Travis.

"What?" Skipper contenued to act confused.

Seconds later, both Ivy and Travis tackled Skipper and pinned her to the floor. 

"Hey! Get off of me!" Screeched Skipper, struggling.

Then she received a fist to the face, before falling limp.

Skipper groaned from where she sat. "Stormbit, you're being way to overprotective. I'm an adult, I'm fine."

"I'm not being overprotective, I'm making sure you hold up your end of the deal." Snapped the blonde.

"Mhmm." Hummed Skipper.

"You can be so flipping difficult sometimes, you know that? I wonder how The Squad puts up with you all the time."

"Rude."

"It's true."

Silence fell between them as Stormbit scanned the area from the rooftop. Skipper brought her knees to her chest and curled up.

Stormbit's eyes fell on Skipper, who's face was hidden by her knees, her eyes poking out from between them.

She immideatly looked away, trying to push the thoughts of Skipper out of her head.

"It's clear, come on." Hissed Stormbit, helping Skipper up before the two jumped across an alleyway.

Skipper looked down at their hands, which were still linked, and smirked at Stormbit. Stormbit released her and glared at Skipper, before contenuing to jump.

Skipper laughed, shaking her head before following after.

"She's gone!" Yelled Spark, running out of the door. "She disappeared!"

"What?!" Screamed Travis.

"YOU LOST HER?" Yelled Ivy.

"I'M SORRY!" screeched Spark, tripping over someone's stuff carlessly tossed on the floor. 

"STOP SHOUTING! I'M OUT!" yelled Raven, running to transform.

"How did you loose her?" shouted Ryft, running ot the room where 'Skipper' had been.

"She hit me and before I could react she was gone!" shouted Spark, standing up.

"Who's brilliant idea was it to make Spark watch Baby?!" shouted Ivy.

"IVY! YOU AGREED TO IT! AND DON'T BE MAD AT SPARK, YOU COULDN'T HAVE DONE ANY BETTER!" screamed Ryft, which is exactly what Skipper would have said.

Suddenly, Raven's voice rang out in her mic. "HOLY FRICK IT'S STORMBIT AND SHE'S CHASING SKIPPER BUT I DON'T KNOW IF IT'S HER!"

The building was now in pure cayos as Ryft ran to the attic with everyone close behind.

"What?" asked Ryft, tryign to remain calm.

"NEVERMIND IT'S BABY AND WE'RE FIGHTING NOW"

The room was now in tense silence, save for Raven's ocassional grunts as she fought Baby. travis had his eyes closed, and seemed to be concentrating on something. Maybe his ravens. 

"THEY BOTH JUST RAN OFF!" yelled Raven after a long pause. 

"WHERE THE F*** IS SKIPPER!" screamed Ivy, sartling everyone.

"Language." grumbled Ryft, before returnign to her task. "Follow them!"

"Can't! Stormbit left a tornado!"

"What?"

"Nevermind, It's gone now. But I lost them."

"WHERE THE F - "began Ivy.

"SHUT UP IVY YOU'RE NOT HELPING!" Shouted Travis, his eyes still closed.

"NOR ARE YOU!" screamed Ivy.

"NO FIGHTING WE NEED TO CONCENTRATE ON THE MISSION!" shouted Spark, and everyone was on task again.

"What is happening?" screamed Raven.

"I HAVE NO IDEA!" replied Stephanie. "AND THAT'S SAYING SOMETHING!" 

Then a long pause, and Swaggy tumbled into the open window.

"No luck, but I don't think they Stormbit has her. At least, anymore. They seemed to be working together..." said Swaggy, panting.

Ryft's eyes widened in realization. "Wait... I think I know what she wants."

"What?" everyone said loudly.

"The other half."

"Please explain further." said Travis, his eyes opening.

"When Temperace and Skipper were in the accident, they had half of the Storm Gem. It must have somehow gotten into Stormbit, giving her her powers. And she wants the other half in order to be stronger, and we have it."

"I thought she wanted the Life Gem?" said Stephanie.

"No... Because we don't have it. And she knows that."

"How do you know this?"

"Because... How else could she have gotten her powers? I cant believe it, It took me years to realize this..." Ryft began to mutter random things to herself as everyone shared a shock silence.
