 Pine walked in the room. Layla quickly shut the book and shoved it under her pillow.

"What was that all about?" Pine asked.

"What was what about? I didnt do anything." Layla said quickly.

"You know, I have known you for one day, and I can already tell that you are a bad lier." Pine crossed her arms.

"I have no idea what you are talking about."

"Is that the History of Yarn book?" Pine was getting very suspiciouse.

"Yes it is."

"Okay, I have had a sudden interest in knitting. That book could be helpful. May I see it?" Pine knew Layla was lying.

"No!" Layla shouted.

Pine looked at her startled.

"I mean.. no... No you may not see it." Layla calmed down.

"Why not? It is just a yarn book."

"It is... a... family heirloom." Layla really was getting worried.

"A book?"

"Yes. It was my Great-great-great-great-great-great-great..." Layla started counting fingers. "....-great Grandma's. She passed it down, and now it is mine."

Pine looked at her. She was annyoed that Layla was lying to her. "Mhmm..."

"Wow look at the time! It is getting late. We should probobly get to bed." Layla said hurriedly. She jumped in her bed with the book under her pillow. "Night Pine!" she said as she closed her eyes.

Pine rolled her eyes. "Night Layla.."

Layla slept in her bed and Pine just laid in hers.

A few hours later, Pine stepped out of her bed and walked over to Layla's. She held out her hand a small distence from her body with her palm facing Layla's pillow. A soft, light purple glow appeard. A few moments later, Laya's "History of Yarn" book was in Pine's hands.

Pine read the title: "All Things Magic." She looked at Layla sleeping. "You have magic too?"
