Layla's face turned white. "We have to get her back! I will do anything! Even use magic! Please, teach me!"
Avalon was shocked at her plea. "We may have some time to train, but not much. The Dimension of Schatten is far from here, so it will take the Shadow Theif a while before he gets there. It will also take a hour or so for the poison to take full effect in Pine's body. Are you sure you want to do this?"
"Yes.... I am" Layla said.
"Good." Avalon smiled. He quickly flickerd his hand and he and Layla disappeard in a cloud of yellow smoke.
Seconds later, they were in a place that Layla had never been before. When she first opend her eyes, there was nothing there, but a few moments later, there were large, dark blue crystals around them. It was beautful.
"This is where we will train." He saw Layla looking in awe at her surroundings. "This place adapts to whatever creature the student is." he said.
Layla took a deep breath. "I'm ready" she said.
A dark blue ball apeard. "Focus all your energy on lifting the ball." he said gently.
Layla tried as hard as she could, but It wouldn't lift. "Why is it when I don't want items to move they do, and when I want them to, they don't?"
"You are trying to hard. You need to relax and let the energy freely flow inside you. Don't try to force it."
"Okay.." she tried again.
"Layla, don't try, just do." Avalon said.
Layla didn't get how that was supposed to work, but she tried to 'do'.
Avalon smirks. "Don't TRY to 'do' either."
"What? How is that supposed to work?" Layla was confused.
"Don't think about it. Just let the energy do its thing."
She closed her eyes and put her hand out.
