i set the popcorn, candy, pop, and a large stack of movies that i had picked from, on the coffee table.

the doorbell rang through out the house. i skip to the front door, opening it and being greeted by a happy ethan.

"hey baby." he smiles, inviting himself in and bringing me into his arms.

"hey." i give him a short sweet kiss. he unwraps his arms from my waist, kicking off his shoes and taking off his jacket.

"so i picked out some movies," i walk back into the living room, ethan plopping down on the couch. "we got finding dory, jack reacher, trolls, jason bourne, john wick, the boy -"

"the boy!"

"really ethan?"

"what? are you scared?"

"no," you laugh. "i'm not the one who ran out of the room last time."

"hey!" he whines, "shut up. that's in the past now."

"baby, it was like a week ago."

and for the rest of the night, it consisted of a very pouty, scared ethan.
