There was an airy silence as I tiptoed down the stairs at the crack of dawn. I let out a deep sigh, realising that no ones awake, a bit obvious as it is pretty early. I sit on the lawn, looking up at the sun that beats down heavily. I lay on the long lashes of grass that surround me. My tummy stings, and I wince.
I lurch up, i've got to get out of this hell pit before my parents wake up. 'Rosa' I hear a whisper. I spin around to see my little sister Hayley looking on at me. 'Yes?' I snap back. 'How comes your up so early....?' she asks, 'Mind your own bloody business you little brat'. I say this a bit too hastily and I know she's hurrt as her eyes widen and she runs back up the stairs. I hurry after her, begging her not to wake my parents. The sweet little thing agrees and I rush to get changed.
Phew, I let out a sigh of relief as I head out the front door, i've escaped the clutches of the horrid digusting man that unfortunately is classed as my father. I think of calling for my friends but their probably still getting ready for school, so I trot over to a park bench and sit there in utter silence. Early morning joggers whizz past me, I feel horrible. The little happiness I had has been swiped out completely.
'Hey..' says Jay. Great, just what I need.' 'Rosa, you seem really uncomfortable, I KNOW somethings up.' I burst into tears. He puts a comforting arm around me and a jolt back half shoving him, 'Easy!' he says, 'Sorry' I whisper. 'Talk to me Rosa.. I might even be able to help you.' ' I cant,' I say as warm salty tears slide down my face. I grip my back and get up to leave. He holds my wrist and we stare into eachothers eyes. ' Whenever your read yh ' he says and gives me a warm smile. I smile back and walk off.
I dont go to school, but I briskly walk over to the train station and hop onto any odd train, not knowing where it could lead me. I get off at the last stop unaware of where I am. I wonder around the secluded town. Happy that no one knows me and that no one can point out how I'm acting strange. As the day goes on I buy a sandwich and nibble on it as I wonder around. School kids pile out of the gates, relieved to be let out, young girls letting out girlish squeels. I envy them all, wishing that I could be them. Pleased with life without feeling rotten. I glance down at my watch, my school finished a good hour ago, and it would take me atleast an hour to get back. Im in for a whole load of trouble but I have to go back, I mean what choice do I have? I fall asleep on my way and im awakened by an old lady who got on at the same time as me, ' Darling, its the last stop off you pop, ' she says with her croaky voice, I mutter some nonsence and get off the train, stroling home. Beads of sweat form on my forehead.
I open my front door, seems as if theres no one home! 'THANK THE LORD', I belt aloud. An eery silence as my voice echoes. A massive grin playfully sits on my face, I open my bedroom door, 'Oh fuck' I whisper....
