Pain

------------------------------------------

We looked at her, the blood rushed from his neck and Eve had fainted from horror. She was always quesy around blood. I looked dead in her eyes. She looked up from eating the bloody doctor's corpse and stared back at me. She slowly got up. Intestines still dripping and oozing from her red mouths she let out a dry hiss, and stepped closer to me. Eve was still on the floor, and I knew I had to protect her from her mothers deadly intentions. She came up to me and grabbed me but I managed to push her away, then I ran across the room when and grabbed a flower pot. I bashed it over her mothers head. She fell to the floor, but she managed to get up once again. I grabbed the remaining glass and jabbed it in her eye. I looked at her eye bleed out. Suddenly she grabbed my face and tackled me to the floor doing that horrendous dry hiss. I kicked her against the bed and grabbed her by the hair and smashed her head throughout he hospital window. She pulled her head out, glass was stuck in her neck but yet she still managed to walk towards me. What the hell was this bitch? Quickly I grabbed the glass and jabbed it right between her eyes. Finally, in a haze she fell to the floor. I turned around to see if Eve was okay, but she had managed to get up and she stared at me with look of despair, hatred, gratitude, but most of all, pain. I grabbed her mother in my arms. The blood was flowing through my fingers. I heard Eve screaming, but everything was going in slow motion. This is the beginning of my story. This was when the peace I once knew left, and the pain I now knew arrived.

"Josh," she fell to her knees, "Josh, why did you do this? My mo....mo..........mom........"

Her voice shook. We sat there, speechless for five minutes, ten, twenty. No one came into the room. We were locked in there. Locked in there with all that pain. Finally Eve broke the silence.

"Get out. GET OUT. NOW GET OUT GET OUT NOW. I HATE YOU I HATE YOU!"

I attempted to grab her shoulder in comfort, but she slapped me with hatred. I rushed over the bloody corpses and went to the door. In the heat of moment I kicked the locked door down only to be welcomed by an overflow of flashing lights. Camera men and media were waiting there, thousands in this little hospital corridor. I pushed them out of the way one by one, they all rushed in the room to Eve, I left her there. Left her with all the flashing lights. Left her with the pain.

What Now

--------------------------------------------

I walked around the city for hours after that. Hours and hours. I paced around in my sadness until I saw the sun had gone and come again. The moonlight was fading so I decided to head back to the place I used to call my home. The car was still at the hospital. I guess she took a taxi home. The police were at the hospital investigating the scene, luckily I passed them without anyone noticing. I took the keys and put them in the car. My phone was in the back seat and went off. It was an alert, "Hello JOSHUA your pet, GIZMO is still with us at outer shop, please come and pick him up soon or will be charged late fees. Call 999-999-9999 for more information."

I had forgotten about Gizmo. They crying murderous pain I felt was still burning inside me distracting me from other priorities. I drove down the highway and finally made it to the store. The neon sign was crooked and broken and blinking on and off. I stepped inside the chipping away day care. The bodies of dead kittens, cats, dogs, puppies, bunnies, and hamsters were scattered across the floor. I threw up in my mouth a little bit at the horrible sight. I called out for Gizmo, again and again. Finally I heard whimpering in the storage room in the back of the day care. I ran inside to see a woman grasping a two kittens, and Gizmo.

"GIZMO!" I yelled as I ran to the woman.

She stood up in fear, "Are the you the police. Cause I had to kill him I had too I had too!" She said as tears rushed down her face. I told her I wasn't the police and that she was okay. She gave me Gizmo. His little white paws rubbed up against me as he licked my face. I put him in my shirt pocket for the time being as he was small enough to fit. I asked her what happened and she stated that one her co-workers had tried to kill her in a sudden attack murdering most of the animals in his way. She then said that she threw him in the storage area and proceeded to bash his head in with a bat they kept for safety. As she was telling her story her not so dead co-worker rushed up behind her and grabbed her by the shoulders, I pulled her away but the kittens fell and hurt themselves. The man bent down and proceeded to eat the kittens in one bite each. Disgusted she grabbed the bat and hit him over and over and over again crying and screaming the whole time. Now he was truly dead. We looked at each other but before we could even react we heard the sudden crash of over a dozen cars back on the street. We ran out to find thousands and thousands of people limping and making that horrible dry hiss cry. Broken and crashed cars were everywhere. We rushed back in the store and locked the door. We knew at this moment we were facing something unnatural. The only problem was, we were trapped with no where to go. There was a bang at the door, there was hands smashing through the windows, and we were in the middle of it all. We both looked at each other with over whelming fear as we both cried out, "What now?".
