Life is a book, or so I was told
Every person we meet on this journey to somewhere is a word, or sentence or paragraph or a page or a chapter or a few chapters
Never the full book
Our story wasn't a full book either.
In my book you were the few chapters
In yours, I will never know
When I first met you, your messy black hair, the caramel - colored eyes made you seem like a normal day, a normal class, a normal cute face
Movies and books taught me that love happens when time moves slow, hearts beat fast, I should trip and you should catch me before I land on the ground.
Nothing of that sort happened.
Instead, you looked mean and mad
Instead, I'm helping you find your shirt you left on Monday
Instead, I'm asking for a picture
Instead, you're writing your number on my paper for the group project
Instead, I'm waiting for the next time I will see you
Instead, underneath the jokes and carelessness I'm hoping that day comes soon
Instead, I'm taking each step slowly exploring new parts of you
Instead of leaving like usual, I feel like staying and becoming cozy
Authors Note: This isn't my first book but it is the one I'm most proud of because it comes from the heart. Tell me what you guys think of it. I will try to update once every week since finals and AP exams are coming up. After that, twice a week, until another writer's block hits. :)
