Chapter 5~ You Owe Me

"Today we're going to be reading a book." Mrs. Anderson said.

Uh, I've already read this boooook.

"You'll have to read to chapter 5 and finish the works sheet, if you don't finish by the end of the period it's homework." She said as she passed out the paper. I quickly filled out the worksheet and got bored so I looked over at Jeremy. I actually forgot he was in this class. Oops. Anyway, I noticed Hanna Maples trying to get Jeremy's attention. I muffled a laugh and continued to watch. She traced her manicured nail on his arm, trying to be seductive but failed. Jeremy's face showed pure disgust and you could easily tell he was uncomfortable.

"So Jeremy, whatcha doing after school?" Hanna asked totally oblivious to the rest of the class.

"Obviously not you," I said. The kids snickered, even Jeremy was holding back a laugh.

"Well I thought that maybe you could come over after school." Hanna said.

Jeremy mouthed 'Help me' and I mouthed back 'You owe me'.

"Actually, I hate to burst your bubble, I really do but Jer-Jer is coming to my house after school, right?" I said. Hanna's whole face fell.

"Oh, well maybe you can come over some other time." she said. He just nodded and the bell rang. I left the class room and headed to my locker. When I had all my stuff I walked out the school.

"Dagger, Dagger!" I turned around saw Jeremy running after me.

"Yes?"

"So, I actually don't have anything to do so I was hoping maybe I could go to your house." He said.

It was weird, nobody every asked to go to my house.

"Uh, sure."

"Okay, so whatcha doing?"

"I'm riding a fucking pony, what does it look like I'm doing?"

"Never mind." He mumbled.

I shoved the key into the door nob and opened the door. We walked in and put our stuff down. I went up into my room and changed into a pair of sweatpants and a tank top. I rushed to the kitchen to make some food.

"So you okay with spaghetti?" I asked. He nodded and sat down watching me cook.

"What are you writing your essay on?" he asked.

"Which one?"

"The one that's due tomorrow, the 25th." he said.

I instantly froze. Crap, Crap, Crap.

"Jeremy, is today the 24th?"

"Yeah, why?"

I checked the time and the bell rung. I walked over to the door, knowing who it was.

"Hi Amy, Clemmet."

"Hi Rosy, guess what I did today!" Amy said excitedly.

"Amy, wait one sec. Clemmet needs to go, say bye and give him a kiss." I told her.

She quickly kissed him and said goodbye. I held her hand and took her to the living room.

"Look, Amy, there's a guy in the kitchen, his name is Jeremy. I want you to go in there and pretend that your my kid, okay, so instead of calling me Rosy, call me mommy, okay." I whispered to her.

"Okay."

We walked into the kitchen and Jeremy saw Amy. His face was priceless. Amy tugged on my sleeve and said,"Mommy, I want some juice." I nodded, set her on the counter, and poured her some apple juice. Jeremy looked baffled. He looked at Amy then back at me.

"Is she yours?" he asked quietly.

instead of answering him Amy and I burst out laughing.

"OH, No, she's my little sister, Amy." Amy waved at Jeremy. He waved back.

"Rosy, can I go to my room now?" She asked.

"Yeah, just remember mom comes home in 10 minutes."

I watched Dagger chase Amy around the house. She looked beautiful, I don't know how I didn't notice earlier though. In her tank top and sweatpants, she still looked great. I had a sudden urge to ask Dagger if Amy was hers and I was relieved when she said that Amy was just her sister. I admired her, caring so much for little sister.

"Okay Amy, you win, I gotta pee, sit and watch spongebob with Jeremy." Dagger said and left to the bathroom.

Amy loked at me and said,"Why are you here?"

"Huh?"

"You heard me, why are you hanging out with my sister, no one ever comes to our house." she said.

"Well I just, I had nothing, I was just-"

"It's okay, I know you'll protect her, be nice to her and don't leave her, Rosy has lost too many people." she said when Dagger came back.

"Okay kiddo, time to do your boring homework! Yay!" she said to Amy.

"But I don't wanna!" Amy whined.

"If you don't mommy won't bring you anything." she told her.

Amy's face got excited and she ran to her room. Dagger ploped down on the seat next to mine.

"So why does Amy call you 'Rosy'?"

"Beacuse Rose is my middle name and its easier for her to pronounce." she explained.

"Oh"

"Yeah"

Dagger was bitting her lip and it was hard for me to control myself. I moved myself and planted my lips on hers. At first she didn't respond but she started moving her lips against mine. I ran my tounge over her lip and she opened her mouth. I moved my arms so that they were around her waist and her fingers made their way to my hair. She gently pulled on my hair and i groaned. We pulled apart but she pulled me back into another kiss. We were interuppted by my phone ringing.

"Hello?"

"Jeremy Jace Spinner!"

"Mom!" I groaned

"You bettet come home or you'll get grounded!" my mom threatened.

"Yeah, whatever, I'll be there in five." I said and hung up.

"Well, I gotta go, so see you tomorrow?"

"Mmmh, I'll see you tomorrow." Dagger said.

"Bye" I said.

"Oh, and Jeremy, that was a amazing kiss, hope we can do it some other time" she said winking and closing the door. I walked down the street thinking about Dagger.
