Besties and plane rides.

A/N~Hi guys, SOO this is my first fanfic I have ever tried to write. So it might be a little crappy in the beginning but please bear with me until the end and it will get better.

"Hunter, if you don't get up now you'll miss your flight!"

I sat up from my bed and looked at my clock, 7:30 AM, well it looks like I don't have enough time to take a shower. I hopped out of bed and decided on wearing soccer pants and a white tank top. I guessed it would probably be somewhat hot in Australia, so I can't go any wrong there. I put my hair up into a high pony tail, brushed my teeth and put my white converse on.

When I was done getting ready I grabbed my phone and texted my best friend Jewel, she was a short blonde haired girl with hazel eyes. Any guy would kill to be with her.

To: jewels;)

Hey you ready to go to Australia and meet a whole bunch of hot surfer dudes?:-Dxx

I stared at my phone until she replied.

what kind of question is that? of course im ready, hey i bet by the end of this trip you will have a hot australian boyfriend;))xx

I laughed out loud

idk about me but im sure you will. I dont even think i want a bf anyways, once we leave Australia i dont think ill be able to handle a long distance relationship. Anyways i got to go finish getting ready. see ya at the airport, love ya.xx

I gave no thought of a boyfriend. Zero, zilch. No dude friend for me.

Tossing my phone on the bed, looking back at the clock saw I only had a half an hour to eat breakfast. I ran downstairs and poured myself a bowl of Captain Crunch. Did I eat it? Good question, nope.

Once I finished my cereal I put my bowl in the sink, being the great mannered girl I was. I hopped up the stairs to grab my suitcase from my closet. My mother helped me pack and made sure that I brought every little thing she thought I might need.

~"Okay do you have all your pants?"

I nodded my head.

"Hairbrush?"

"Yep"

"Underw-"

"Yup"

She finally gave up and wrapped her arms around my torso.

"I'm so sorry sweetie I'm just really nervous for you." ~

Once I got all my luggage down the stairs, I dramatically wiped my non-sweat covered forehead. Disney channel pick me.

"Let us go mother dearest!"

My mom appeared from out of the kitchen and grabbed her purse.

"Kyle is already out in the car waiting, let's jet."

I've always dreaded security checks, I liked to keep my shoes on when it comes to bacteria filled floors. Luckily, the line moved quickly, too quickly. Mother dearest made sure that she and brother dearest would come to the gate with me. The looks you get when you're dragging a sobbing middle-aged lady, are not the greatest looks.

When we arrived at gate B3, I noticed all the other juniors and their parents were there too. Jewel sitting by her sister. Parents were the only nervous ones.

Kyle plopped down into one of the uncomfortable black chairs, I mimicked his actions. My mom turned to me, uh oh.

"I love you darling, I'm super proud of you and I'm so happy you're going to be able to explore a whole different country, make sure you call me every day and be safe." She shoved her palms into her eyes.

"Don't worry mom I've got everything under control, I will be fine. Now please stop crying."

I was leaving my home in Washington to be an exchange student in Australia. I would be joining a new family and school for twelve months. Christmas and New Years I would be spending away from my family. When I got to Australia I would be joining the new school the. Very next day. Not very much time to settle.

To say I was nervous was an understatement, I was terrified.

"I'll miss you Hunter." My brother Kyle squeaked. He was a tall boy, too tall for his age of nine, but his athletic muscles and shape made him look fine. He was a flirt, he picked up all his tricks from my older brother Dustin, who right now was at college in Utah, so he couldn't make it to say goodbye.

"Aw bud i'm gonna miss you too, but hey I'll bring you something back from Australia. That sound alright?" My brother shook his head.

"Flight 137 to Sydney, Australia is now boarding at Gate 3. All students from Waterview High School, please all gather by the door."

The airport's overhead speakers sounded. I picked up my backpack and stood.

"That's me." I breathed.

I gave my mom and brother one last hug.

"I'll text you when I land. Love you guys"

I smiled blinking away my tears that were gathering up on my waterline.

"Last call for flight 137 to Sydney, Australia."

I waved to Jewels who was waiting for me with the group of juniors by the gate, I gave my ticket to the lady who scanned it quickly and gave it back to me.

"Have a nice flight Miss." I gave her a polite, "Thank you" and pulled my carry on into the tunnel with me.

Walking into the airplane I took a look at my ticket to find my seat. "C-15, C-15, C-15" I repeated over to myself until I found it. Nobody was seated there yet, so I selfishly took the window seat.
Soon a boy and a girl who I could recognize from school took the seats next to me, said hello then turned and talked amongst themselves.
As the plane started to take off at the runway I took one last look at the Seab
eck airport. "New place, new me" I closed my eyes and soon sleep took over me.
